Jay Leno is among the Angelenos pitching in to help those fighting the wildfires in Los Angeles.

“We’re cooking for the [firefighting] crew,” the former Tonight Show host told CNN’s Anderson Cooper last night. “We’ve got some BBQ going because, they’re all getting boxed lunches.”

Leno said the idea was to offer fire crews and support staff some hot food.

Of course, this being Jay Leno, he brought his own fire truck.

“I drove a 1941 fire truck,” he told Cooper. “It’s kinda fun…We got it loaded up.”

Leno was serving meals to first responders at the Rose Bowl on Monday night, and said he’d be making the rounds to other spots, as well.

LAFD Public Information Officer Erik Scott posted video of Leno serving up hot meals and wrote, “We’re grateful for his kindness & the support from our community during this challenging time.”
