Kylie Kelce Reveals Jason Kelce Already Changed Name of Their Puppy
Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce have reached the third down when it comes to their dog’s name.
One week after the Not Gonna Lie host introduced their family’s German shepherd puppy, which she initially called Bernadette, before swapping the name for Matilda, the Philadelphia Eagles star introduced her with yet another new name.
“We got a German shepherd,” Jason shared, holding up the puppy, during the April 8 episode of New Heights. “This is Frida, or as everyone is calling, ‘Freddie’ Everyone is calling her Freddie around the house.”
But while it appears Kylie and Jason’s daughters, including Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 12 months, have settled on the moniker for now, Jason brought in yet another variation.
“I’m calling her Gunda,” the 38-year-old told brother Travis Kelce, “because I like that name better. She’s German, right?”
Although that has not caught on with the rest of the family. In response to the fourth name suggestion, Jason’s 6-year-old briefly entered the frame to interject, “It’s not Gunda—it’s Freddie!”
And Travis gave his nieces’ chosen name a stamp of approval, “I like Freddie.”
To clarify, Jason emphasized to his younger brother, “Frida. Freddie is a nickname—but yes.”
Whatever name the Kelce family settles on for their new addition, it’s obvious they’ve welcomed their sweet furry friend with open arms. As Kylie admitted in the March 31 podcast episode where she revealed they got a dog, “I can’t help myself.”

Jason and Kylie’s new pet also comes after many months of their daughters vying for a cat—a cause that even Travis’ fiancée Taylor Swift tried to get behind after Jason tried to tell them cats were poisonous.
“It was actually a really great challenge,” Taylor joked during her August appearance on New Heights. “As soon as I got the kids around the cats, it was my goal to prove to them that they weren’t poisonous and there’s no better way to prove that than to just hand them Benjamin, my rag doll cat.”
And while Kylie acknowledged the “ongoing cat saga” in their house while adopting the puppy, she said their family was just more equipped to handle a dog.
"I met some very cute cats, but like I've said a million times at this point, we're not ready for that,” Kylie said. “When I am ready for that, I'm gonna march my ass right back to the PSPCA and I'm gonna find me a cat that wants to come home and live at the Kelce household.”
