James McAvoy has taken on some incredible roles throughout his three decade career, but there's one role that keeps the money rolling in more than any other.
During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast this week, the Scottish actor, 47, said that the only movie he makes significant residuals from is the 2016 psychological thriller Split.
The film, directed by M Night Shyamalan, had a budget of just $6 million, but went on to make over $278 million at the box office.
'Our first weekend, we made $40 [million], so we made profit. Our first residuals check came at the end of the first weekend,' he explained, calling the success of the movie 'bonkers'.
However, McAvoy admitted that he barely sees a dime from most of his other movies, including his 2008 box office hit Wanted with Angelina Jolie.
'You get the odd check for a couple hundred quid here,' he said. 'Sometimes you get checks for, like, 25 cents.'

Since starring in Split, McAvoy has appeared in It Chapter Two, Speak No Evil, and His Dark Materials.
Many fans also know him from his role as Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men franchise.
The Glasgow-born performer got his Hollywood break in an episode of the American war drama mini-series Band of Brothers, which aired in 2001.
But during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen this week, McAvoy admitted that he'd felt bullied during filming.
'On my first day on set, there was like a ton of actors. It was one of those scenes with everybody in it, and we're at a bar,' he explained.
The conversation was prompted by a cast photo that showed Donnie Wahlberg, Kirk Acevedo, Scott Grimes, Neal McDonough, Adam James, Frank John Hughes and Ross McCall.
McAvoy, who was 22 at the time, explained that the tension stemmed from being given more lines to say, while longer-standing members of the cast only had one.
'I had a scene and all these guys were in it for like nine months, 10 months, and they get one line in one episode, and one line 10 episodes later. And they were all p***ed,' he said.

Wanted was a huge hit at the box office, grossing $342 million from a $75 million budget
'And I come in for one episode and I've got like an arc and scenes. I've got tons of lines,' he continued.
'And so, one of the guys in that picture decided to bully me on my first day as a professional actor out of acting school.'
McAvoy did not name the actor who he alleges bullied him and 'got his buddies to stand, point and laugh at me for like, three minutes'.
He did rule out David Schwimmer as the culprit and said that actors Dexter Fletcher and Robin Laing took him aside and let him 'hang' out with them to get him away from his jeering co-stars.
McAvoy played the role of Private First Class James W Miller, who was a real life US soldier, featuring heavily in the episode before being killed in action.
Private Miller, 20, was killed by an enemy shell in the Netherlands on September 20, 1944.
