James Kermack (Knuckledust, Hi-Lo Joe) will direct Breathe Deep, an action thriller starring Ingrid Torelli (Late Night With The Devil, The End), Michiel Huisman (Echo 3, Game of Thrones, Age of Adaline, Rebel Moon), and TikToker Avani Gregg.
Kermack wrote the screenplay together with G.D. Wright. Cornerstone will handle worldwide sales and will launch the project at the European Film Market.
The film is produced by Featuristic Films’ Julien Loeffler and James Kermack (Salvable). Principal photography will start this year. Denis Lagrange (Point Break) has signed on as cinematographer. The film’s other technical team features composer Walter Mair (Squid Game, The Bricklayer, Infinite, Till Death) and casting director Nancy Bishop (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol).
The film’s synopsis reads: Thirteen years after witnessing her father’s death by a shark in the Devil’s Triangle, exploration influencer Addy Frost (Torelli) returns to the fateful site wearing a replica of his vintage diving suit, only to face a deadly battle against a great white shark, a mysterious killer, and her own fears.
“The film is uniquely positioned to engage the next generation of moviegoers while delivering a commercially dynamic and visually stunning experience,” said Cornerstone’s Alison Thompson and Mark Gooder.
Loeffler added: “Breathe Deep is an intense survival thriller with a unique directorial vision. The claustrophobic perspective from inside the diving suit will force the audience into feeling trapped with our lead character and experience her emotional journey. We are thrilled to be partnering with Cornerstone who are respected internationally for their prestige character led titles.”
