J.Crew Designer Collabs Launch Just In Time For NYFWCourtesy of J.Crew

Don't you wish you could own a piece from some of New York City's trendiest designers for an affordable price? J.Crew made that dream a reality today with its most recent designer collaboration. For the first time, the brand teamed up with five American designers to remix their classic Rollneck sweater into their own unique style.

The designers in this historic collaboration are chic brands that NYC fashion enthusiasts have been obsessing over for the past few years. The collection features designs from Collina Strada, Tanner Fletcher, BUCI, Eckhaus Latta, and Patrick Taylor. The styles range from soft and feminine to playful and nautical, but the one thing they all have in common is the thoughtfulness and intentionality behind every detail—even if it's small.

The base of the Rollneck sweater design remains the same. Made from 100% cotton, it features a high roll-neckline, ribbed cuffs, and a relaxed fit. This sweater is a years-long J.Crew staple for a reason. One reviewer raved: "I loved these back in the 90's and I am so happy to see them again!"

The designers created one style per brand, each retailing for $180—an accessible price, considering these brands' status. We'd recommend adding to cart if one of these styles calls to you. The collection launched today, and we predict sizes and styles will sell out soon.

The Rollneck by Collina Strada

Designer Hillary Taymour adds a soft, feminine touch to the sweater with its bold green, pink, and lace details. "I love to play with color and texture just like J.Crew, but the Colina Strada spirit really comes through with the lace," she explains

The Rollneck by Tanner Fletcher

Designers Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell opted for the timeless sailor silhouette. "We wanted to pay homage to J.Crew's nautical roots—and we had never seen a sweater with the classic sailor flap tie. It became our mission to design that," they said

The Rollneck by BUCI

"Feminine, comfortable, and chic" is how designer Mishka Ivanovic describes her take on the classic Rollneck sweater. The additional details, like the open back, high neckline, and cuffed sleeves, give it that extra elegant touch.

The Rollneck by Eckhaus Latta

This colorblocked artful rendition of the Rollneck sweater was designed by Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta with its cream shades and pops of oranges and blues. "Our stitches are very singular to us, and getting to apply them here made a wonderful union," they said

The Rollneck by Patrick Taylor

Designer Patrick Taylor brings a bold playfulness to the Rollneck sweater with its sailor motif, lettering, and contrasting blue shades. "The sailing club is representative of the community J.Crew has built," he said. "But also the energy I hope to produce in my own line."
