Spider-Man: Brand New Day has enjoyed $2.5 billion worth of success in theaters since July 31, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie has now started a new era at last. Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios delivered one of the biggest movies ever with Tom Holland's fourth solo film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Made to be seen on the big screen, audiences flocked to theaters throughout the end of summer and start of fall to experience Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Packed with action, emotion, and Marvel heroes, the blockbuster proved to be an all-time great crowd-pleaser. That's how Spider-Man: Brand New Day's box office broke so many records from its very first day of release.
While reports have since surfaced that Sony and Marvel will give fans another reason to see it on the big screen by adding new scenes to a Spider-Man: Brand New Day re-release, that has yet to be confirmed, and thus no release date is known. In the meantime, there is more time and new opportunities to watch the MCU Phase 6 movie.
That's because Spider-Man: Brand New Day's digital release date has arrived. Following reports that Sony would wait until November to make the film available on PVOD, the studio confirmed its October 6, 2026 digital debut. Now that the day is here, Brand New Day is no longer exclusively available in theaters, marking the beginning of a new era of at-home viewings.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Now Available On Digital: How To Watch At Home
Coming to digital just 67 days after its theatrical debut, Sony has sped up its usual schedule for Spider-Man movies to give everyone a chance to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day from the comfort of their own couch. Anyone can now rent the sequel digitally to watch it for a short duration or buy it in this digital format to own it forever following its 12 pm ET release.
As for where one can buy or rent Spider-Man: Brand New Day digitally, Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, and Fandango are a few options. Each retailer has it on sale to buy for $29.99. These digital purchases include bonus features. The price to rent the movie from each place is not confirmed as of this writing, but a $19.99 price tag is expected.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day's Digital Release Allows Its Record-Breaking Run To Continue
Sony and Marvel have brought Spider-Man: Brand New Day to digital at a great time. Interest is finally fading at the box office, with the movie barely holding onto a top 10 spot for the last weekend. The film has had an incredible run, including winning the domestic box office for six consecutive weekends, but its weekday daily grosses are dropping well below $1 million. It's clearly time to give the film a new opportunity for success.
Brand New Day may continue adding a few million dollars to its box office total in the months ahead, but for now, its performance on digital will be the primary focus. The reception thus far has given every indication that Holland's Marvel movie will keep demanding audiences' attention with this new release.
After all, Spider-Man: No Way Home's digital release recorded $42 million in sales in its first week. The popularity of the fourth installment suggests Sony could receive another $50 million or more in the next week if Brand New Day draws more attention. Even if it merely matches No Way Home's first week, the volume of digital sales will far exceed what the movie would make if it were still only in theaters.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day should keep breaking records with its digital debut, giving Sony and Marvel even more reasons to celebrate and work to get plans locked in for Holland's Spider-Man 5, which is in the early stages of development.
