Thunderbolts* actor Sebastian Stan opened up about what sets the film apart from other Marvel Cinematic Universe outings. The film features a team of Marvel antiheroes, including Ghost, the Winter Soldier, Red Guardian, U.S. Agent, and Yelena Belova. Thunderbolts* also stars a hugely talented cast of actors, including Stan, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour, among others.

Stan, in an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, stated:

"We're -- We're really a group all on our own, you know, on our own island, so to speak. And, but, some of the funniest people --Wyatt Russell and David Harbour are some of the funniest people. Julia Louis-Dreyfus is amazing... Florence Pugh. And so I'm excited about what people are going to say. I think it's going to be a nice treat, you know."
