Whether a player is trying to simply woo or WooHoo with The Grim Reaper, The Sims 4: Life and Death has made it difficult for players to get the romance going, despite it being a large selling point of the update. However, user V4R14 has broken down the steps to get The Grim Reaper falling head over heels.

Fans are thrilled as this solution has given them the exact experience they were looking for when playing with this expansion pack, especially since dating Death has been a long-time desire in the Sims community.

While some Sims 4 players have been lucky in romancing The Grim Reaper, many have not been able to have the love life (or love death) they were hoping for. In a helpful effort, Redditor V4R14 shared their steps for getting the Grim Reaper to woohoo with their Sims. Firstly, they opened the cheat bar and typed, “ ‘testingcheats true”and then “cas.fulleditmode’.” They then summoned the Grim Reaper and added them to their family so they could (unofficially) edit his traits, including physical and emotional ones.

Once this is finished, a player has two options: they can keep Grim Reaper as a playable character or release him to be the “official” Grim Reaper again. If the latter option is preferred, they suggest letting him go and removing him from the family immediately. After this point, he will regenerate as The Grim Reaper but with the traits the player has chosen, making romance much easier. This cheat does not require additional mods and allows players to customize The Grim Reaper to get him to look like anyone.

Many users complained about the fact that The Grim Reaper was not interested in anyone in town, despite dating him being a selling point of the game.

Users also complained that when the Grim Reaper did express interest, the player would send their Sim on a date only for the Grim Reaper to stand them up. While this wasn’t the universal experience, it created a frustrating experience for a majority of players who had to clear the expectations set by marketing. If ‘dating Death’ had not been a key marketing point, I doubt there would be as many forlorn players relying on cheats to get their romantic desires. Still, a date with Death is a pretty fun idea and now, all players can.
