Invincible season 2 saw Seismic return with new powers and minions, this time attacking the Washington Monument. In Invincible season 3, Seismic's plan is more complex in that he uses even more new minions to capture all the superheroes on Earth and trap them below ground, save for Atom Eve and, of course, Invincible.

As the two heroes appear to stop him, Seismic labels them as "token diversity and gender stereotype." Eve then replies with "Um, I wouldn't talk, Generic Mad Scientist," confirming the reality that audiences of Invincible have been thinking since season 1. Seismic is one of the more generic scientist villain tropes in the entire show, and each recurring appearance has proven this.
