Farmer Wants A Wife fan favourites Thomas and Clarette have called time on their relationship, just one year after they fell in love on the Channel Seven dating series.

While neither has publicly commented on their separation, their social media pages provide telling clues that the South Australian wheat farmer, 36, split some time ago from his school teacher partner, 36.

Upon declaring their relationship last year, Farmer Thomas updated his Instagram bio to include Clarette's name, alongside a love heart emoji.

However, they have now been scrubbed from his social media, and Clarette is now completely absent.

Even more tellingly, a recent newsletter for the school in the remote Eyre Peninsula where Clarette worked near Thomas' farm has confirmed she has resigned.

'We farewell our English teacher, Clarette Goodhead, who joined us at the beginning of 2025. She will be greatly missed by students, staff, and the wider community,' the newsletter read.

An insider confirmed to Woman's Day magazine that the pair struggled with their relationship and parted ways some time ago.

'It hasn't been as perfect as it seemed,' they told the publication.

Meanwhile, heartbroken fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the split.

'They live very different lifestyles. Thomas is tied to the farm, but Clarette was often travelling and spending time away,' one person wrote.

Another said that Clarette's recent social media postings all featured her alone in a variety of different settings, joking that she was a 'FIFO wife'.

The split will come as a surprise to FWAW viewers, as last year Thomas came to the end of his emotional quest to find love in an episode of the reality TV series.

The farmer publicly declared his feelings for school teacher Clarette.

Realising that she was the one, Thomas asked to speak with Rachael and Jess separately to tell them that Clarette had won his heart.

Both ladies wished him well before leaving the farm together.

Making his boldest move yet, Thomas left a handwritten note asking Clarette to meet him at sunset for an important conversation.

Encircled by candles, Thomas locked eyes on Clarette and smiled as she walked towards him.

The pair held hands before a nervous Thomas took a long, slow breath to steady himself.

Thomas recalled the day the pair first met, saying, 'Clarette, when you walked into that room, my eyes just locked on you, you took my hand... that really meant a lot to me.'

'We've had our ups and downs, but we managed to get through them strong,' he continued, before telling Clarette how beautiful she looked.

Thomas told Clarette she would make the most 'beautiful' wife and mother before delivering the words she had been waiting to hear.

'Clarette, I love you,' he declared in the moving moment.

Wiping away tears, an emotional Clarette responded, 'I love you too, it's official!'
