Huddled on a pub bench and posing for a photograph, Kate Moss, her daughter Lila and half-sister Lottie appeared thick as thieves.
It was a windy day in late August 2024 and the Moss clan had travelled to the home of their father, Peter, in East Sussex to celebrate his 80th birthday at The Griffin pub.
Posted to Instagram by Kate’s younger brother, Nick, 47, it was the first time the half-sisters had been publicly snapped together for more than three years due to their longstanding rift.
Their bickering was so renowned, I am told, it had become a running joke among those in the sisters’ social circuit that if you found yourself in a dark corner of a party with Lottie, 28, she would ‘chew your ear off’ about how much she disliked Kate, 52, who remained seemingly unfazed by her wayward sibling’s feelings.
That happy picture led many to believe the unlikely reconciliation had finally happened – no doubt a relief to the elderly Peter, now 82.
And so when Lottie went on Olivia Attwood’s podcast last week to lambast her older half-sister, stating they had ‘no relationship’ and moaning that Kate never replied to her texts or calls, it left many questioning what had caused such an abrupt U-turn since their cosy encounter in 2024.
But I can reveal that, behind the scenes, relations between the sisters have once again dramatically deteriorated and Kate is said to no longer have any interest in reconciling with Lottie, who has been bad-mouthing her for years.
After that 2024 family picture their relationship quickly broke down, according to sources, and Lottie, who had previously made a habit of speaking unfavourably about Kate at social occasions, soon returned to her old ways.
The last time the pair were seen together was at their dad Peter's 80th birthday party in August 2024 at the Griffin pub

Insiders tell me that in November that same year, just three months after the family picture was taken, the influencer was at parties ‘telling anyone who would listen about how horrible Kate is’.
A source told me: ‘The problem is she just cannot get over that she is not a part of Kate and Lila’s circle. But it has only been amicable from Kate’s side; she even encouraged Lila to be friends with her.
‘I think she [Lottie] was expecting, after they publicly made up to be the bestest of friends, but Kate isn’t interested, and she quickly realised that.’
My source continued: ‘Kate was also keen to put any talk of a feud to bed because it has long upset the family, [and] she will be livid about the podcast. There won’t be much coming back from that.’
Sitting down with former Love Islander Olivia in her maroon podcast studio for an episode of Olivia’s House, Lottie began: ‘God, me and my sister is quite a tricky one and I would never normally talk about it.’
It was a bizarre statement from the former OnlyFans model, given she has repeatedly hit out at Kate on various podcasts and glossy magazine interviews over the years, such as a 2022 Glamour piece in which she said Kate had never supported her.
Yet, last week she was insisting otherwise to Olivia: ‘I never say anything, she is, you know, Kate Moss, and I don’t want to upset her.
‘But at the same time, this is my life as well, and I have my own experiences with her, and frankly we have next to no relationship, and it’s no one’s fault.
Last week Lottie said of her half-sister: ‘I never say anything, she is, you know, Kate Moss, and I don’t want to upset her'
‘We grew up in different times... I saw her modelling and I just thought she was the coolest thing ever and I just wanted a relationship with her and every time I texted or called I didn’t hear anything back, so that was that.
‘I felt bitter about it, and I’d spoken about it previously, and she got upset, but I was like, you are my sister too; I get to talk about you because this is my experience too. It is what it is, really.’
Lottie then opened up about last Christmas, which they spent as a family at Kate’s house, and she described a confrontation that took place in front of their father.
She said: ‘I was like, “Let’s just address it and talk about the elephant in the room, let’s just be honest. Like we don’t have to all pretend to get along.”’
Kate’s only daughter, Lila, from her relationship with Jefferson Hack, who I am told is ‘fiercely protective’ of her mother, has since unfollowed Lottie on Instagram – the Gen Z equivalent of severing all ties.
Lottie has previously said of her niece: ‘We text sometimes and I see her out and about. I don’t give her advice. I think my sister can give her modelling advice.’
Just six weeks ago the family were back in The Griffin for Pete’s 82nd birthday – but the half-sisters were present in the same room only because of their elderly father.
The newly reignited feud will no doubt be a disappointment to Kate’s younger brother, Nick, who is close to Lottie and has spent years trying to persuade his sisters to get along. But their distance, often blamed on the 24-year age gap, is worse than ever.
Kate grew up in Sanderstead, Croydon with her younger brother Nick before becoming a global superstar
Lottie grew up in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, with Peter and her Norwegian mother, Inger Solnordal, Peter’s second wife. She attended fee-paying Bede’s School in Hailsham, which Lottie claims she paid for from her modelling fees.
Meanwhile, Kate and her brother Nick grew up in Sanderstead, Croydon. Their mother, Peter’s first wife Linda, worked as a barmaid, and Kate had Saturday shop jobs and hung out in the park drinking cider. School was the local comprehensive, Riddlesdown High School.
She was spotted by Sarah Doukas, boss of the top model agency Storm, at New York’s JFK airport aged 14, and a shoot for The Face two years later launched her global career.
Lottie’s trajectory has been less than stellar.
After Kate invited her then 13-year-old half-sister to be a bridesmaid at her 2011 wedding to musician Jamie Hince, Lottie signed for Storm, then Kate’s model agency, soon after.
She initially booked jobs with Bulgari and Valentino but the offers soon faded, and her career headed slowly downmarket.
After joining the racy subscription adult site OnlyFans in 2022, which earned her £30,000 per month, Lottie was dropped by Storm.
But last year she quit the X-rated platform and has since been unable to clear an outstanding HMRC debt.
She is understood to have already drawn on cash reserves within her own company, LottieM Ltd, to support herself during the pandemic, when her earnings first declined, leaving insufficient funds to meet her tax obligations.
A source previously told the Daily Mail she was ‘embarrassed by the situation’ before liquidating her company in March 2026.
She is now focusing on ‘rebuilding her career’ and is ‘concentrating on commercial modelling and new opportunities in entertainment.’
A major part of this new strategy, it appears, is returning to podcasts – and occasionally talking about her less than happy relationship with sister Kate.
