Inside Katie McGlynn's luxurious spa getaway with her boyfriend Ricky Rayment as they celebrate his birthday with steamy saunas and countryside walks at a romantic retreat in the Lake District

Katie McGlynn and Ricky Rayment didn't spare the luxury to celebrate the former TOWIE's star 34th birthday, as they treated themselves to a romantic getaway in Lake District.

The soap favourite, 31, and the TV star enjoyed a relaxing spa weekend at the lavish 4-star Swan Hotel and Spa, where double rooms start at £151 per night.

On Saturday the Coronation Street actress took to her Instagram page with a stunning clip featuring the best bits from their loved-up retreat.

The lovebirds seemed on cloud nine as they are seen making the most of their time with long walks in the nature, healthy saunas, and often plunging in the pool.

Katie and the TOWIE alum packed on the PDA as she captioned her latest reel clip: 'My happy place is with you.

'Big thanks to the angels for helping me plan a gorgeous weekend.

'Does anybody else love the lakes as much as us?! #lakedistrict #birthdays #happyplace.'

Funny moments were not left out from the adorable video, which further proved the happy couple's loved-up chemistry. 

In a previous post shared on Wednesday, Katie stunned in a black bikini as she shared a gallery of snaps from their luxurious retreat.

The actress showcased her sensational figure in the two-piece as she went for a dip in the hot tub and packed on the PDA with her hunky boyfriend.

The couple posed for a quick selfie in the sauna. 

The soap star accessorised with an array of dainty jewellery, including a gold necklace featuring a sun pendant. 

The reality TV star had his abs on full display as he sported a funky pair of pink patterned swimming trunks.

Away from their relaxing spa outing, the pair appeared to implement fitness into their holiday as they headed out for a picturesque outing in gym gear.

Katie and Ricky matched in Under Armour branded clothing, with Katie donning a black sports bra and Ricky sporting a blue gym top.

The lovebirds also got all glammed up to enjoy a night out during their break, stopping to pose for a cheeky selfie with their tongues out.

In the caption of her post, Katie gushed: 'A birthday weekend well spent @swanhotelnewbybridge for a beautiful stay to celebrate @Ricky31’s day of birth.'

She added the hashtags '#birthdayboy #weekendgetaway #thelakedistrict'. 

The pair announced their relationship by going Instagram official in February on no less than Valentine's Day.

The loved-up duo announced their romance in a joint post, sharing a slew of snaps together.

In photos obtained by The Sun at the time, Katie and Ricky sparked engagement rumours during a Valentine's Day stroll.

Katie was seen sporting a mystery ring on her wedding finger as she and her partner grabbed some snacks form a shop.

A spokesperson for Katie told MailOnline: 'Katie and Ricky are very happy together, but they are not engaged. Katie likes to wear various rings and jewellery and just happened to wear one on her ring finger.'

Katie, who is based in Manchester, has been dating Ricky for the past months with an onlooker telling the publication: 'They very much looked like girlfriend and boyfriend.'

'They were holding hands, having a laugh and even had a little kiss as they walked amongst other Saturday afternoon shoppers.'

They added: 'We noticed them as they were walking out of Hotel Chocolat. Ricky must’ve bought Katie an early Valentine’s Day gift as he was carrying a bag from there. They looked really happy together.'

Ricky was previously engaged to Geordie Shore's Marnie Simpson, who has since tied the knot with Casey Johnson.
