Inside James Kennedy's controversies after Vanderpump Rules star was arrested for domestic violence

James Kennedy has been arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.

DailyMail.com has learned that Kennedy, 32, was arrested on a domestic violence charge, after attending Kathy Hilton's Christmas bash with girlfriend Ally Lewber on Tuesday.

TMZ has reported that Kennedy was detained after Burbank police responded to a call about an argument between the Vanderpump Rules alum and an unknown woman.

A witness claimed to have seen Kennedy and the woman arguing, and the reality star is said to have at one point grabbed the female. Officers say they did not see any visible injuries on the woman.

The authorities determined it was a domestic violence incident following an investigation, and Kennedy was subsequently arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence.

While shocking, for loyal viewers of the show, the arrest is just the latest in a series of controversies the DJ has become embroiled in. 

Tom Sandoval claims James assaulted a waitress 

During the season 10 reunion of Vanderpump Rules, Sandoval alleged that James had slapped a waitress in the butt during a gig in Atlantic City.

Sandoval claimed the alleged victim was asked to sign a form indicating she would not take legal action and they 'lost' the gig due to Kennedy's alleged actions. 

'We had this on-going job with Atlantic City and then James got brought into it and the last time that we were there, you were belligerently drunk with no shirt on,' he said.

'Security came to me and said "your friend is going to get kicked off the premises." The manager told me later that you had smacked the waitress on the a** and they had her have a sign a form saying that she wasn't going to like, file a suit. And you lost us that job,' Sandoval claimed. 

'That's great, that's great, that's great,' Kennedy responded rapidly. 'You show up and get drunk and I show up and provide a whole f**king show,' he fired back.

In 2018, James was fired from SUR, where he DJ'd every Tuesday, amid concerns over his drinking and following his cruel bodyshaming of co-star Katie Maloney.

'There’s a darkness inside me that comes out. Seriously, I’m never touching another drop of alcohol again,' James told Lisa Vanderpump.

'Exactly. You need to be sober for the rest of your life. I’m telling you that,' Lisa responded. 

'I will if you give me one more chance, I promise. I’ll seek help,' James insisted.

'I can’t give you one more chance,' Lisa said before the firing dawned upon James. 

'Are you firing me?' he asked. 'Yes,' she replied. 

'No way you’re taking this away from me!' he said crying.  'You’ve given it away yourself,' a determined Lisa insisted. 

'I won’t ever drink again, I won’t ever do anything naughty again,' he pleaded, with Lisa saying he needed to be held 'accountable' for his actions.

'See?' Lisa tells Ken but James persists: 'What!? What!?' he asks angrily. 

Ken then snaps: 'You little f**ker. I'll knock you spark out! If you disrespect Lisa, that'll be another thing. Go home!'

James SPITS on ex Kristen Doute's door 

During a heated argument following their break-up, James spat on Kristen Doute's door as he left her apartment.

As the fight continued, Kristen eventually decided to end their relationship.  'You and I, we are done,' she says. 

'We're done then Kristen, cause you're f**king unmanageable... That's why you're 31 and you're never going to f**king find a guy to marry you!' James fired back in response.
