Inside Celeste Barber's VERY chic bachelorette pad following her split from 'hot' husband Api Robin

Celeste Barber is embracing single life, complete with a new bachelorette pad. 

And the 43-year-old Australian comedian has showed off her chic, luxurious Gold Coast property in Marie Claire Australia magazine's latest issue. 

Barber bought the 'modernist' property and is living there as a single gal, following split from husband Api Robin. 

The flat was styled by upmarket interior designer Dominee Gessner, who made it over into a 'comforting sanctuary' enriched by 'warm, rich comfort colours' and 'autumnal' elements, Gessner told Marie Claire. 

The concept for the home is an edgy, luxury hotel, 'inspired by two of Celeste's favourites, Chateau Marmont in LA and Madame Reve Hotel in Paris.'

As well as having lots of natural sunlight, the space is mood-lit by bright pink pendant lights. 

'I need some mood lighting – it's my ADHD,' Celeste explained to the publication. 

Blue walls, a mustard couch and 1970s furniture add to the retro, Hollywood vibe, while two dishwashers allow the performer to wash her glasses and dishes separately. 

The stoneware in Celeste's kitchen is inspired by a vulva, she admits. 

'I put in a request to get the pinkest possible part of the stone that I could,' she said. 

'And then where it joins above the oven, it looks like a vulva, which I love to remind my teenage boys at breakfast.'

The bathroom is made in the mould of a 'sexy lab' and very well lit as Barber films a lot of social media content inside the room. 

'I'm 43 and we all need good lighting,' she explained.  

Celeste is rebuilding her life after her split from her 'hot husband' Api. 

Api confirmed the couple had decided to end their marriage after 20 years together, a day before Valentine's Day.

'The past few months have been incredibly challenging and deeply heartbreaking for us both,' an Instagram post captioned 'Heavy hearts' began.

'After much reflection, the decision has been made to separate.

'There is still love and respect between us, but sadly we are at capacity and have come to recognise we may want different things.' 

'Our priority remains our children and their wellbeing. We kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this,' he continued.

While most were blindsided by the breakdown of their seemingly strong marriage, a glance at their online footprint and previous interviews reveals there have been signs of trouble in paradise for years, with the pair being curiously absent from each other's feeds in the lead-up to their split.

They share two sons named Lou Robin and Buddy Robin, while Api has two daughters from a previous marriage.
