Indiana Jones & The Great Circle: How To Solve The Path Of Tigers Mystery

4 days ago 6

"Path of Tigers" is another Mystery you can solve in Sukhothai, one of the many regions you explore in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle. This optional side quest rewards you with a powerful upgrade for exploring the world and finding hidden clues to a larger puzzle. Not only does this expand the story, but it also gives you a way to grow stronger for future challenges.

Anyone who is wondering which Mysteries to solve in Indiana Jones & TGC should try to complete "Path of Tigers" as soon as possible. The reward from this mission gives you an excellent boost to your combat abilities, making fights easier as you continue your adventures. Among the other, smaller Mysteries in Sukhothai, this one is among the most important to pursue early.

How To Start The Path Of Tigers Mystery

Discover The Submerged Hut And Its Safe

Once you gain access to river travel in Sukhothai, you can travel to the southern edge of the region to pursue this Mystery. If you've explored Sukhothai enough, you may have discovered an area called Tongdang's Hut somewhere on your map. If you haven't, you can find it southeast of Wat Chana Songkhram and very close to Khaimuksaksit Village, another location along the water.

Indiana Jones & The Great Circle: How To Solve The Serpent's Chest Mystery

To solve the Mystery of the Serpent's Chest in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, you must travel around the world and collect keys to open it.

Go to Tongdang's Hut and search around it to find a submerged hut surrounded by lilypads and other vegetation. This place is abandoned, with its entrance partially underwater and featuring a cobweb in its upper left corner. When you wade your way inside, you'll immediately spot a floating table to your right with a huge safe and several small items you can investigate.

The only item that hasn't been ruined by age or water is a Mystery Note next to the safe. Pick up this item to get the Rebels Photograph, a documented photo of Pailin and her rebel friends that was taken somewhere in Sukhothai. This begins "Path of Tigers" as you retrace the steps of these allies and find a hidden message left by them somewhere in the region.

How To Solve The Path Of Tigers Mystery

Explore Ruins For A Secret Message

You need to find the secret combination of the safe to solve the "Path of Tigers" Mystery, but the code was hidden long ago by Pailin's rebel friends. You must track down where the group could have left a message giving away the safe's combo somewhere in Sukhothai. This Mystery is harder to solve if you have fewer areas unlocked on your map, so try to explore a bit before pursuing this quest.

Those who have bought the Sukhothai Mysteries book will be given a clue as to where the message might be on their map. This will appear as a large yellow circle indicating which part of Sukhothai you should be exploring to solve the "Path of Tigers" Mystery.

Logically, it makes sense that the rebel's message would be at the spot where they took the photo you inspected earlier. Travel to the southwest until you reach Wat Si Sawai, a collection of ruins near the border of your map. Once again, you can use fast travel to get across the river or pay for transportation to the area you'll want to investigate.

Although there are no enemies during this side quest in Indiana Jones & TGC, that danger could still arise if you get lost. When you reach Wat Si Sawai, follow the main path forward until you reach a fork in the road. From here, turn right to travel down a path with boards along the ground that leads to the larger ruins site, indicated by heavy vines draping a hole in a stone wall.

You Shouldn’t Disable This Divisive Graphics Setting In Indiana Jones & The Great Circle

This setting is not for everyone and is a matter of personal preference, but players should give it a chance as it replicates the source material.

The moment you see the larger ruins, turn left to spot a board with a tiger's face made with white paint. This is a secret symbol of the rebels, indicating that you should follow the left path up to a new location. Another board will await you at the top of the inclining path, where you can see a clearing with a large statue.

At the left base of the statue, you can spot a tiger's claw, also drawn in the same white paint as the tiger faces seen earlier. The code for the safe is also written here inside the paw of the tiger's claw. The combination for the safe back at Tongdang's Hut is:

  • 2480

You can take a picture of the combination so you don't forget it, then head back to Tongdang's Hut. Thankfully, you don't need the Rebreather in Indiana Jones & TGC to access anything underwater in the Hut after finding the code. Simply enter the combination to open the safe, complete the Mystery, and start claiming rewards.

Indiana Jones & The Great Circle Jumbo Grip Adventure Book with new combat skill

Adventure Points are abundant for solving this Mystery, as you get plenty for investigating different clues throughout the quest. Here are all the sources of Adventure Points you can get from "Path of Tigers," and how many you get from each:

  • Rebels Photograph - 50 Adventure Points

  • Pailin's Message - 50 Adventure Points

These Points can help you upgrade some of your skills, but the real reward comes from what you discover inside the Tongdang Hut safe. Boxing rings are some of the more lucrative side activities in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Here’s how to unlock and complete the one in Gizeh.

This is a game-changer, as heavyweight enemies are usually your toughest foes in any area you explore. The ability to grab them makes these foes easier to fight, giving you the means to win more battles in heavily guarded locations. However, this new skill is not free, as it costs 500 Adventure Points to read the book and unlock its associated ability.

You get 350 Adventure Points from doing everything in this Mystery, so one more quest should give you enough to unlock the Jumbo Grip skill. Try to pursue another Mystery besides "Path of Tigers" among the many you can find while exploring Sukhothai in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle.
