EXCLUSIVE: Hoo, Hoo, Hoo, Hoosiers! Shadow Lion, the company founded by NFL legend Tom Brady, and Jigsaw Productions are soon going inside Indiana University’s football program to chronicle the team’s unprecedented trajectory from the losingest program in college football history to 2025 National Champions.
Production on the documentary, titled Misfits, will begin this fall. It marks the first collaboration between Shadow Lion and Jigsaw, which beat out more than a dozen production companies to secure access to Indiana’s football program.
“Partnering with proven storytellers like Shadow Lion and Jigsaw Productions ensures that our football program’s historic championship journey will be captured with the depth and authenticity it deserves,” Scott Dolson, Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Indiana University, said in a statement on Tuesday. “Those of us in and around the program felt deeply privileged to be first-hand witnesses to one of the most remarkable turnarounds in sports history. We are proud to share this captivating story with a global audience.”
The doc promises to be the “definitive” telling of Indiana football’s astonishing transformation throughout the 2025-26 football season, charting how a ragtag roster of overlooked players overturned decades of failure to play a perfect 16-0 season and become one of college football’s most unlikely victors.
With exclusive access to the Indiana University football program, the documentary will highlight people both on and off the field who contributed to the team’s recent success.

Executive producers for Shadow Lion include Gilad Haas, Jeff Fine, Lior Haas and Philip Byron. Courtney Sexton, Richard Perello and Wendy Schmidt serve as executive producers for Jigsaw.
