The video was created by nbshar, or Niels Beekes, for 64 Bits on YouTube, and it shows what a hybrid between both games would look like and the horrifyingly precious tasks a player could engage in. The content could not be more different, with the darker nature of Cult of the Lamb seeming to be the polar opposite of the friendly, positive, and “comfort game” nature of Animal Crossing. The styles blend perfectly, and Redditors quickly wanted the concept to be real as the response to nbshar’s post was overwhelmingly positive.
The comic adaptation of Cult of the Lamb shows its main character is not that innocent, revealing how bloodthirsty the Lamb can get when unleashed.

Spooky Meets Cute Is A Good Yet Underrated Concept
I never thought I would see the blending of Animal Crossing and any kind of horror that would convince me it would be a great idea (I love my villagers so much). Yet this fanart makes a strong case for why it’s the perfect blend. Mixing Cult of the Lamb with Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a genius move, especially as the comments proved there is a lot of crossover between the two games. The cute little animals performing black magic and sacrifices were actually precious, more so than I ever could have imagined.
While I don’t think Animal Crossing would ever embrace extremely creepy vibes, I do think this fanart idea brings to light another avenue they could take the game, especially outside of Halloween. Incorporating scary motifs, much lighter ones, would do well in Animal Crossing and I think fans would be excited to use them. There’s nothing wrong with being cute and scary, as Cult of the Lamb knows well, yet few expect the styles to mix so well. This underrated blend is one I hope is explored more in gaming, and is given an official stamp of approval by Animal Crossing soon.
