In the First Trailer for ‘Ready or Not 2’, Samara Weaving Can’t Believe This Is Happening Again

Remember Ready or Not? That horror comedy starring scream queen Samara Weaving that ends with her in a wedding dress, covered in blood, taking a well-earned drag from a cigarette, having just survived a messed-up family tradition that saw her hunted for sport? Well, there’s a sequel film on the horizon called Ready or Not 2: Here I Come that sees her put right back into the horrors of a new game for her life.

The trailer opens up on Weaving’s Grace waking up handcuffed to a hospital bed shortly after the events of the first film, as Elijah Wood’s creepy lawyer character exposits to her that her killing her family (justifiably, I might add) only set off a new chain of events. Evidently, by surviving that game of Hide and Seek with the Le Domas family, Grace pissed off four of the “High Council” families, leading to a brand new game she must play for her life. If that sounds a little like John Wick, we won’t hold it against you. Second verse, same as the first for Grace; the name of the game will see these newer, richer assholes try to kill her again.

Key among the rich assholes (actors, who we assume are nice people IRL) out for Grace’s head are Shawn Hatosy, Kevin Durand, David Cronenberg, Nestor Carbonell, Varun Saranga, Dan Beirne, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Despite this game having a pretty stacked card against Grace, she’s joined (unwittingly) by her sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton). Alongside her sister, Grace must survive yet another messed-up game of death and, hopefully, find a way out so she can put an end to this chicanery once and for all. Hopefully, she’ll have enough hutzpah to survive being staked by Buffy the Vampire Slayer without exploding into chunks by the time the games are over.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits theaters “soon,” which is apparently April 10, 2026.
