Idris Elba's wife Sabrina stuns in a tight black dress as they hold hands while leaving his star-studded 52nd birthday bash at a swanky private members' club in London

Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina couldn't wipe a smile off their faces as they were seen leaving the actor's 52nd lavish birthday bash, after celebrating with an impressive A-list guest list on Thursday night.

The English actor and the Canadian stunner, 35, held hands and both flashed happy grins while exiting the luxurious Kensington Roof Gardens in London.

The Hijack sensation opted for a T-shirt and smart tailored trousers, adding a billowing matching raincoat and sunglasses.

Meanwhile Sabrina looked typically classy in a long-sleeve figure-hugging maxi dress with a turtleneck, teamed with elegant black strappy heels.

The businesswoman toted her glamorous outfit with a matching small bag and silver hoop earrings, and enhanced her gorgeous looks with a red lipstick.

The loved-up pair appeared on cloud nine after letting their hair down for one night to remember, where they were joined by a whole host of celebrities including Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Idris, who performed a DJ set at his party, was joined on the decks by Angela Rippon, with her former Strictly partner, Kai Widdrington sharing photos. 

The venue is divided into three themed gardens and is home to flamingos and pintail ducks. 

The Luther star was also joined by A-listers including Michael McIntyre, Gemma Goldsmith, Laurence Fishburne, Lily Cole and David Mitchell. 

Comedy icon Michael, 48, sported a dapper navy suit as he appeared in very high spirits while exiting the birthday bash.

Elsewhere Gemma Goldsmith made a stylish appearance in an all-white ensemble, which included a crop top and pencil midi skirt.

The journalist, 50, teamed it with a classy blazer and brown strappy heels, accessorising with maxi silver pendant necklaces.

British model Lily Cole, 36, kept it casual in high-waist denim, white tank and an oversized print shirt.

Hollywood legend Laurence Fishburne, 63, was also in attendance, cutting a quirky look in red sweatshirt and baggy denim with a petrol blazer. 

Comedian and actor David Mitchell, 50, beamed as he was captured leaving the bash alongside his wife Victoria, 52.

Strictly pro Kai, 29, looked suave in a conventional black suit and tie, smiling at onlookers on his way out.

Beauty entrepreneur Charlotte Tilbury, 51, showed off her toned legs and curves in a black long-sleeve mini dress, glossy tights and towering heels. 

An insider told The Sun: 'Everyone was talking about Keir coming for a drink and he was seen driving into the underground car park of the venue around 8pm and left an hour later.

'Keir was on top form and was chatting with everyone at the bash. He didn’t stay long but having him there was a real highlight for the guests.

'Idris got up on the decks for a DJ set and Angela joined him. She turns 80 in October but she was partying hard and looked like she was loving it in the booth with Idris.' 

The source added that Idris and his wife Sabrina were the last to head home in the early hours of the morning. 

It's been a busy month for Idris who's play, Shifters, for which he serves as a producer recently transferred to the West End. 

He has worked with Love Island host Maya Jama and rapper Little Simz on the production which has been hailed as 'beautiful, funny and moving' by audiences.

It has now been transfered to the Duke Of York's Theatre after a sold out run at Bush Theatre. 

Shifters tells the story of Des and Dre, who come crashing back into each other's lives and are reminded of their love and time together as teenagers - but their time is limited.

The play - which stars Netflix's Supacell and Doctor Who star Tosin Cole alongside actress Heather Agyepong - has received high praise. 

Audiences have gushed over the heart-wrenching tale, written by Benedict Lombe and directed by Lynette Linton, applauding it for being moving and thought-provoking but also humorous.

The trio, who will produce the play, will be joined by Eleanor Lloyd Productions, Chuchu Nwagu Productions and Sonia Friedman Productions.

Idris said: 'This play is so well written by Benedict Lombe and so well performed by Heather Agyepong and Tosin Cole, we feel very, very privileged to be a part of its transition into the West End.'
