Kyle Sandilands says reading the Daily Mail is his morning must-read in a new podcast interview that has sparked a blizzard of headlines.
In an interview with our new weekly showbiz podcast, The Debrief with Savanna Young, Sandilands discussed brand loyalty and the importance of authenticity in media.
'People, they buy into brand loyalty,' the King of Radio said, before noting he is a dedicated reader of the Daily Mail.
'I go the Daily Mail every day,' he said. 'It's pretty much the first thing I do in the morning.'
Kyle's unprompted comments about the Mail - which has more than five million Australian readers each month and tens of thousands of local paying Mail+ subscribers - came amid in an exclusive podcast where the media titan:
- Cast doubt over co-host Jackie 'O' Henderson's long-held claim that manager Gemma O'Neill was her 'best friend for 20 years'
- Shared his suspicions about the so-called 'woo woo crew' surrounding his former co-host
- Shared a sobering health update about the aneurysms behind his eye and in his chest
The interview with Sandilands - who is launching his own subscription audio platform - garnered more than 120,000 views on YouTube alone.
