I've worked from home for six years, and these are the gadgets I'm buying for Black Friday

I've had the Apple Magic Keyboard for years now, and I'm over it. I miss the clickity clack of a mechanical keyboard, and honestly, I could use some color in my life. I'll be upgrading to this Logitech Pop keyboard that is $18 off.

A customizable action key lets you open up apps, web tabs, or AI tools with the click of one button. There's also a Break Mode key if you need to pause work, which opens up entertainment apps like Netflix or Spotify. 

A laptop stand makes a night-and-day difference in a home office. You're supposed to look at a laptop at or slightly below eye level; otherwise, you can end your work day with eye strain, headaches, and sore shoulders.

This one is for laptops up to 17.3 inches, and can go up to 10 inches in height with a maximum tilt of 120 degrees. It can also easily fold up in case you need to take your home office elsewhere for the day. 

If you're spending eight hours a day looking at a computer screen, you're being exposed to blue light, which can make your eyes feel tired, dry, and squinty. I notice a difference at the end of the days when I wear my blue light blocking glasses compared to the days I don't.

I'll be upgrading to this pair from Gunnar, which features tinted lenses to better block blue light, as well as a dual-sided anti-reflective lens coating. They also have a slight focusing power (+0.20) to relax eye muscles. 

I'm someone who needs to physically write down lists in order for my mind to clear. I like the Rocketbook brand because the notebook's synthetic paper allows you to write with the included Pilot FriXion pen, then save your pages to the Rocketbook app so I can see my notes on the go.

This notebook has different page styles such as weekly and monthly planners, goal setting, task trackers, an ideas page, dot grids, and lined pages. Plus, once you've completed your weekly to-do list, the ink on the page can be wiped away with a damp cloth. 

You may not think you need a printer in 2025...until all of a sudden, you do. It's best to invest in a printer for your home office so you have it when you need it. Since this printer is only $100, I'll be buying it to replace my old printer which no longer works.

I know that sitting at a desk with a chair is much better for your posture, but sometimes, nothing beats working on the couch. For those days I want to be a little less formal, a lap desk is a great way to work from a sofa or armchair while still having everything you need to get your job done.
