While I'm not as versed with all things suction like Homes Editor Ruth Hamilton, I've used a good few Dyson vacuum cleaners and even visited the company's HQ in Malmesbury, England.

So while brands like Shark have started nipping at the heels of Dyson, I still think the latter makes impeccably engineered products that have an almost-obsessive level of detail when it comes to finessing dust filtration, performance, and the vacuuming experience; trust me, I've seen Dyson's dust lab and stood in its noise isolation chamber.

I have to say the Dyson V12 Detect Slim is one of my favorite bits of practical tech I own, and I do mean tech, as the amount of filtration and dust detection has made this stick vac seem almost sci-fi. It's no wonder it got a very strong 4 out of 5 stars in our Dyson V12 Detect Slim review, with the only downsides being a small bin and not as much power as its larger siblings.

I think the V12 Detect Slim is ideal for people with apartments, as that small bin isn't really a shortcoming in smaller homes. It's also just a fun stick vac to use, especially when you literally laser-target some dust for suction with extreme prejudice.

This Dyson deal may stick around for a few days, as could the other deals below, but I'd not gamble on that. So if you're after a new Dyson or want to give your vacuum cleaning a tech glow-up, this cut-price V12 Detect Slim is well worth your attention.
