Boyd looks out the windows of Colony House in From season 3, episode 4

WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for From season 3, episode 6!Toward the end of From season 3, episode 6, a terrifying ghost becomes even scarier as she repeats a haunting request from other seemingly deceased figures in town. Throughout From season 3, Elgin has been haunted at Colony House by visions of who he calls the “Kimono Woman.” The almost skeletal character is seen soaking wet and dripping water, cupping her hands, and wearing a kimono when she appears to Elgin, which frightens him to his core. In From season 3, episode 6, his visions of her take a darker turn when she makes a desperate plea to him.

After From’s Kimono Woman ghost inexplicably appears behind Fatima in a Polaroid photo that Elgin took, he sees a vision of her in front of him. The woman then walks up behind Elgin and begs him, “Help me out. I can save you. I can save all of you. I can help you go back home.” The context of Elgin’s visions of this ghost bear similarities to Tabitha’s visions of the children who frequently utter the word “Anghkooey,” with these unknown figures only appearing to a few residents who they ask for help.

Why Do The Kimono Ghost Lady & The Anghkooey Children All Want Help From The Residents?

The Ghosts Could Want Help To Free Their Souls

There are now two recurring visions that feature figures who request help from characters stuck in From’s town. The most basic mystery about these visions surrounds their identities and what happened to them, as it’s still unclear who the Kimono Woman was and why the children are trapped in a tower. Meanwhile, both are still wanting help from the town’s residents, though they don’t reveal why they need assistance or what will happen once they’ve been helped. Since they're presumably dead, it could be to help free their trapped souls from this town.

The Kimono Woman first appeared to Elgin in From season 2, episode 7 when she pushed him down under water in a bath.

The “Anghkooey” kids in From seek help from Tabitha and Miranda, specifically, to rescue them from the tower, which turns out to be the lighthouse. However, Tabitha successfully goes to the lighthouse and is sent back to the real world, which brings her back to square one as the children still continue to appear to her and ask for help. How exactly the Kimono Woman wants Elgin to help her isn’t clear, but – like the “Anghkooey” children – it’s likely that she’ll continue to frighten and appear to Elgin in visions until he finally figures out how to accomplish this.

The Kimono Woman Adds A Big Twist Compared To The Children

Elgin's Vision Offers To Help Get Him Out

While the children and the Kimono Woman all want help, the latter figure offers a deal in exchange for assistance. The woman tells Elgin that she’ll help save him and help everyone in town get back home if he helps her, which is arguably the greatest source of hope the characters have had since Dale’s death in From season 3, episode 5’s ending. The children haven’t spoken any words other than “Anghkooey,” so this is the first time in From that one of the mysterious figures from these visions has directly offered to help get them out in exchange for help.
