As one of the greatest TV shows of all time, people love Breaking Bad. As one of the most pulse-racing action franchises of this century, people love John Wick. Put them together, and you get the new Fox series, Memory of a Killer, streaming on Hulu. Starring Dexter: Original Sin's Patrick Dempsey, best known for portraying neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy, the series launched back in late January and has been delivering tense action on a weekly basis ever since.
Sure, the series might not boast the same sort of quality as Breaking Bad and John Wick, but its gripping plot and strong performances make for a solid series worth staying tuned in for. On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Memory of a Killer has earned a weak 50% score from critics, but audiences are proving more positive with a decent 68% rating. Inspired by the 2003 award-winning Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (La Mémoire Du Tueur), the movie follows one man's life-changing shift from being a razor-sharp hitman to developing early-onset Alzheimer’s. Despite facing some high-profile competition, Memory of a Killer continues its run as a sleeper streaming hit in the U.S. At the time of writing, the series has returned to the list of most-streamed shows on Hulu, outperforming both Will Trent and Next Level Chef.
