Brooke Hogan Speaks Out on Not Being Included in Hulk Hogan's $5 Million Will

Like any fight, Hulk Hogan couldn’t predict the outcome of his own story.

Almost a year after the wrestling legend died at the age of 71 from a heart attack, the forthcoming Netflix documentary Hulk Hogan: Real American shows Hulk in his final interview, during which he reflects on his life.

“I can’t predict what the final act of the story is gonna be,” Hulk says in a voiceover in the April 6 trailer. “But the legend of Hulk Hogan will live forever.”

Elsewhere in the trailer for the docuseries the athlete (born Terry Bollea) reflects on living his life in and out of the ring—and he hoped the four, one-hour-long episodes will help shed light on who he really was.

“Some people hate me, but after I'm gone, I think people don't know the truth,” he said. “Who was this guy really? I really was here for a reason more than just wrestling.”

The docuseries promises to “uncover the man behind the legend” and includes interviews with Hulk’s friends, peers and his ex-wife Linda Hogan.

The latter, who was married to the wrestler from 1983 to 2009, tells cameras in the trailer, “We didn't speak to each other anymore, but I realized, ‘I still love him.’”

And while Linda and Hulk—who shared kids Brooke Hogan and Nick Hogan—had a fraught relationship after their split, she still expressed her grief over his death, detailing how shocked she was by his passing.

"I had no idea he would pass away this soon," Linda wrote on Instagram shortly after Hulk’s death. "We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard. I loved Hulkster more than he loved me. It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of understood [sic] but it was crushing. It hurt."

She added, "I’ve been weeping all day. The finality. It’s just shocking. We spent every minute together for so many years. I’ve known him since he was 28 yrs old! I was 22. I still love him. Even tho I never spoke or saw him, Nick did.. and Nick would tell me things and vice versa. Just news about life."

Linda also shared how the family’s rift—not only were she and Hulk not on speaking terms, but his relationship with daughter Brooke had also been complicated—had left her feeling “broken.”

Nevertheless, “We still were a family," she wrote. "It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick .. but I’m me."

"I love you Hulkster," Linda concluded. "You were my man. The only man for me. RIP."
