Grab yourself a nice gaming PC in the first sales event of the year. This coming weekend heralds the arrival of the President's Day celebrations on Monday, 16th February 2026. Many retailers are offering discounts on their goods and services, and if you're a techie, you might be able to find some good deals on your favorite desktop PCs and components. We've already spotted this excellent deal at Best Buy, where the Alienware Aurora desktop gaming PC prebuilt is on sale for $1,399.99, a huge saving of $400 off the $1,799.99 list price.

If we compare some of the hardware inside to current prices on PC Partpicker, we can see the 32GB of RAM costing around $345, for the cheapest RTX 5060 Ti GPU it's $359, and around $169 for a Gen4 1TB SSD. This brings us to $873 before we even add a CPU, PSU, motherboard, case, cooler, Windows 11, fans, and anything else you would need to construct the PC yourself.

Inside this Alienware Aurora gaming PC is an Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti graphics card, Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, 240mm AIO cooler, 32GB of DDR5-5200 RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage for the operating system and any games you'd like to install. This is a solid configuration for a gaming PC that would excel with 1080p to 1440p gaming. It would also be able to run 4K in games, but you would start to feel the limits of the 8GBs of VRAM and framerate caps. Being a 50-series card, though, you can start to utilise DLSS 4 for multi-frame generation, to help with frame smoothing.

Now there are some things to consider with this PC. Although it's a perfectly capable machine for gaming with these specs, there are some concerns for the longevity of the GPU, due to the 8GB limitation on VRAM. A lot depends on how far you're pushing the resolution and graphics settings in games, as 8GB is more than enough for the vast majority of titles, but can be eaten up quickly in newer games, especially on 4K settings. We benchmarked the 8GB version against the 16GB version to see how they stacked up against each other, to give you an idea of some of the trade-offs you're making by opting for the lower amount of VRAM.
