There’s nothing more satisfying than stomping around your Fortnite matches as a massive, scary monster and getting an easy Victory Royale. At least, it can be easy if you get your hands on Godzilla’s transformation. Here’s how to stomp, roar, and use Heat Ray as Godzilla in Fortnite.

How to become Godzilla in Fortnite

Before you can use these powers, you’ll first have to transform into Godzilla by entering a special portal that can spawn at the beginning of your Fortnite matches. This portal has a low chance of appearing before the first storm circle forms, letting you leave and rejoin lobbies until it activates.

You’ll know it’s spawning when you see a “Godzilla Portal is Open” security alert message on your screen. If you don’t see this around two minutes after the match starts, you’re free to leave and try another game if you wish.

The second challenge is being the first person to enter this portal. Your odds are low if you’re on one side of the map and the portal is on the opposite side. However, if you get lucky and appear right next to it, you may get the chance to transform into the almighty Godzilla during the match.

How to stomp, roar, and use Heat Ray as Godzilla

Once you transform into Godzilla, you’ll immediately reappear on the map as this massive monster and wreak havoc on anything you encounter. You’ll also gain access to Godzilla’s stomp, roar, and heat ray, which you can activate using the following buttons:

• Stomp: Right click (PC) or L1/LT (Controller)
• Roar: Space (PC) or X/A (Controller)
• Heat Ray: Left click (PC) or R1/RT (Controller)

You’ll also find the button prompts on your screen in the bottom-right corner for mobile or other platforms. They have short to no cooldowns, giving you free rein to blast through and stomp as often as possible. These abilities help you eliminate enemies and help you with Godzilla’s quests, so be sure to learn them quickly.
