Corruption is one of the many leveling systems in The Blood of Dawnwalker. As you level up corruption, you'll unlock more vampire skills that you can use at night. You can turn into a wolf to traverse the map faster, gain lifesteal, or even increase the amount of corruption you get while drinking blood. Leveling up your corruption will be necessary to embrace your Vrakhiri side, and become the strongest vampire in the valley.

Here's how to level up corruption in The Blood of Dawnwalker.

How to level up corruption in The Blood of Dawnwalker

There's only one way to level up corruption in The Blood of Dawnwalker: drink blood. You can drink blood by either using Voracious Bite or using vials of blood.

You can use Voracious Bite on humans and animals in combat or using focus while running around the map. From our experience, it seems that the amount of corruption you receive will vary depending on the size of the enemy. For example, rabbits and rats will only give you a small bit of corruption, while larger animals, like deer or even humans, will provide you with more. You can still gain corruption even if your health is full, so make sure to use Voracious Bite whenever it's up to increase your corruption. Don't forget to loot your enemies, as they may have vials of blood as loot.

Alternatively, if you have a lot of vials of blood, you can drink up as many as you'd like to increase your corruption. However, it's probably best to hold onto these to heal yourself in battle or use them as a crafting material. We only recommend using a vial of blood if you have a ton of them sitting around, as you can just use Voracious Bite on a random animal for free. It's important to note that only vials that restore vampiric health will give you corruption. For example, beast's bane brew looks like it's made up of blood, and it gives you +10% damage against animals once consumed. However, it doesn't heal your health, and will not increase your corruption. Similar to Voracious Bite though, vials will still give you corruption if you're full health.

If you want to gain even more corruption, you can grab the Hastened Corruption skill in the Vampirism tree. You'll first need to put a point into Nourishing Blood and reach corruption level 1 before you can unlock it. The Hastened Corruption skill has three tiers:
