Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is an intense game, and sometimes you wish you had something to absorb the bullets flying in your direction. Thankfully, you can hold someone hostage in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and use them as a shield.
How to take someone hostage in Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Being sneaky can be difficult in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, especially in multiplayer mode. However, you must give stealth a go if you want to take someone hostage. You’ll need to get behind someone and then double press the right analog stick (the melee button) to capture an enemy and take them as your hostage. Don’t hold the right analog stick because that will initiate the finishing move.
You’ll be able to use the enemy player as a body shield for a limited time. You’ll have them held up to you as you loosely carry your gun in your right hand. You can take out your foe at any moment by pressing the right analog stick again. You can also start the finishing move by holding it. However, during a firefight, using the hostage as a shield can be helpful. However, it should be noted that the player can escape. Look at the circular UI with a skull to see how much time you have left.
Trying to do this in split-screen is even harder with the smaller screen.
What perks can help you take hostages?
The Ninja perk is absolutely helpful in stealthy situations like these. It will help you move more quietly, offering a greater chance of success. Ghost also lets you be undetectable by Scout Pulses and UAVs. The Tracker perk lets you see enemy footsteps, helping to pursue your prey. Unfortunately, there are no scorestreaks that will help you here.
