How to 'get shiny' in Big Walk

4 hours ago 8

One of Big Walk's achievements is called "Big Makeover" and the description just says "Get shiny." This isn't a super specific hint, but putting two and two together will tell you that you need to paint yourself a ... metallic color, somehow.

You'll likely notice that the colors in the initial tutorial area won't make you shiny. Well, that's because there's another place with shiny color options.

Below, we explain how to get the "Big Makeover" achievement in Big Walk and how to find the paint needed to "get shiny."

[Ed. note: Spoilers for Big Walk are below. Continue on at your own risk!]

How to 'get shiny' in Big Walk

To unlock metallic colors, you'll need to unlock the tunnels, by completing the yellow tower on the northern part of the map. You can rush here right away, trekking up the mountain, though it is quite far from the starting area. Completing the green tower will activate a ski lift that will take you directly to the yellow tower, if you'd prefer to do that.

As with all the other towers, you'll need to collect five of the red gourd-things by completing the puzzles around the map, and bring them to the tower. Once you do that, you'll get a key, which you'll need to take to different yellow keyholes to shave it down. The first keyhole will be right outside the tower, and it'll point you to the next one, which will continue directing you until the key is finished, and you're at the entrance of the yellow tunnel.

With the tunnel unlocked, you'll need to find a certain room inside to "get shiny." There are multiple ways to get there, but the method we describe below seemed like it was the easiest for us.

From the yellow tunnel entrance, head inside and immediately take a right. Make sure to either bring a flashlight or use the one at the entrance, as you won't be able to see inside the tunnel otherwise. Follow the right path until you're in what looks like a nightclub.

At the back of the club, opposite the little DJ set-up, there's a path with a doorway on the left. Head through there to get to a red hall that immediately turns green.

Keep walking down the tunnel until there's a fork in the road. Head right through the red path.

The tunnel will turn green again, and there'll be an opening on the left, but do not drop down there. (There's a side satchel down there, but skip this for now and come back for it, as getting back here will be annoying if you drop to the lower floor.)

Keep heading straight until you're in a purple room with red archways all over the place, and ramps downward.

Keep going down the ramps, and there'll be what looks like a dead end with a circle indent in the wall. If you approach the circle, you'll realize that the floor ramps down and there's another painting structure down here!

The three colored blocks on the bottom are metallic. Once you paint your buddy, they should get the "Big Makeover" achievement right away. Make sure to take turns painting each other so everyone can get it. Yippee!
