Being naughty might be nice in real life, but it can end up with you having to visit the jail in My Winter Car.
While the prison is completely avoidable, you can land in trouble if you’re not careful. Different offences can potentially hand you jail time. Let’s look at how you can avoid going to prison in the first place, and what to do if you eventually get one.
When are you sent to jail in My Winter Car
There are multiple reasons why you might accrue prison sentences in My Winter Car.
- Failure to stop your car when asked by the police, or ramming into another vehicle, can lead to you being sentenced to jail.
- Punching other NPCs unconscious.
- Running over NPCs with your car.
- Fines that you haven’t paid.
How do you get out of jail in My Winter Car
Image via Amistech GamesIf you can avoid doing the tasks mentioned above, you won’t be sent to jail. However, the only legitimate way of getting out of jail is to serve your prison sentence. One day in jail equals two in-game hours, and here are the prison sentences.
- Unpaid fine: Depends on the number of defaulted days
- Evasion: Three days per attempt
- Manslaughter: Ten days per death
- Attempted manslaughter: Two days
- Traffic fatality: Five days per death
If you don’t want to fulfil your prison sentences legitimately, the only alternative is to use the MSCEditor. The editor, originally meant for My Summer Car, also appears to be working (limited extent) in My Winter Car.
Once you have launched MSCEditor and loaded the default save, change the following values.
- All Wanted Values to 0
- Numberofbools to 1
Relaunch the game after saving the changes, and you’ll be in jail. Spend the day sleeping, and you’ll be free to go in the morning. This trick doesn’t magically make your prison sentences disappear, but reduces them to just one day (irrespective of what your offense is).
