How to get Exalted Orbs in Path of Exile 2

2 weeks ago 10

Exalted Orbs is one of the many valuable items you can find in Path of Exile 2, but it’s a pretty difficult task if you’re just getting started.

For starters, the drop rate of this particular resource is pretty low, and it’s almost non-existent until you have reached the endgame. These orbs are extremely useful if you’re looking to improve your loadout by adding different affixes. You can also trade these valuable resources to other players, and let’s take a look at how you can farm them on a consistent basis.

Best ways to farm Exalted Orbs in Path of Exile 2

The basic procedure to get an Exalted Orb is to kill enemies, but the drop rate is remarkably low. To get the odds in your favor, you can try clearing the Act bosses that you’ll come across while clearing the main content. At the default difficulty, you won’t have much luck.

Once you clear all three acts in the default difficulty, you can play the Cruel difficulty. The Golden Beetle boss in Act 2‘s The Lost City region used to be a great source once, but GGG has nerfed the spawn rate. Effectively, you’ll want to look out for areas that spawn plenty of mobs and enemies in a small area.

You’ll also want to focus on maps that have modifiers, which raise the spawn rate of the number of enemies at a decent difficulty. This will increase the odds in your favor. While exploring the map, make sure to look out for chests and barrels.

Another method of getting Exalted Orbs is to trade on the official website. You can trade lower-tier currencies based on their demand in the market. Try to gather them when their market prices are low and use them for trade when their value goes up.

You can also do the same with the help of high-value items as well. Any item that’s specific to the meta builds will usually sell well on the market, and you can trade them to get Exalted Orbs in Path of Exile 2.

It will be interesting to find out when Exalted Shards are added to the game and how many of those will be required to create an orb. So far, this feature is yet to be added to the early access build, but it will be a great addition in the future.
