The Winter celebrations have begun in Marvel Rivals, and there are plenty of different rewards to unlock. To do so, you’ll have to complete several missions, and it involves earning the Silver Frost currency.
One of the highlights of the Winter celebrations is the introduction of the 4v4 mode, which will be available for a limited time. Naturally, several themed rewards are also available for the players to grind and earn. Unfortunately, I faced a lot of confusion over what the Silver Frost currency exactly does and why it might be important in the first place.
Best ways to use Silver Frost in Marvel Rivals
While the Winter celebrations are live, you can get two types of Frost currency – Silver and Gold. Both types can be earned by just playing the game, but their uses are absolutely different. The Gold Frost currency is significantly more useful, but that doesn’t mean that you should overlook the other type.
The Gold Frost currency is used to unlock different decorations and themed rewards. Once you’ve unlocked a particular decoration, you can then use the Silver Frost currency to change the card’s appearance. The number of options that you can unlock will vary across the decorations, but you’ll always have to use Silver Frost if you want to unlock an additional one.
It’s best not to take too much stress about the process since changing the appearances actually doesn’t have any in-game benefit. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t add to the quest progression. If you want, you can just stick with the default appearance and forego any kind of customization. If you use it, your actual rewards from the Winter Celebrations won’t have any change either, making the whole process redundant.
That said, it’s the time of festivities and merriments, and what’s a better way to celebrate it all than having your decorations? To enjoy the update, be sure to download and install the latest client on your desired platform.
