Fishing, what a relaxing experience. But if you don’t catch anything, where’s the fun? You might need a magic rod to get more fish, and to do so, you’ll have to enchant a rod. In order to do so, here are the directions you need on how to find the Fisch Keepers Altar location.
Where is the Fisch Keepers Altar?
The Altar can be found by going deep into the Sovereignty Mines. If you are confused about where to find them, it might be easier to first reach the Statue in Sovereignty. From Sovereignty, simply get a boat (of course, you can’t swim, as you will drown after a bit) and follow the directions that lead you to the statue.
Once you have reached the statue, you need to find a certain NPC in the mines, whose name is Cole. You should see some ladders near the Sovereignty statue where you just arrived. Climb down, and he should be easy to find, standing next to the lift.
Get ready to fork over 400C$, and Cole will hand over an elevator token. Now, it is time to head inside the elevator to reach the Altar. Do not think of saving money by jumping down, as this trick will cost you your life instantly.
How to use the Keepers Altar in Fisch
As mentioned, you are looking for the Keepers Altar for one important reason only: making your fish rods enchanted. To do so, once you have finished riding the lift, get out, and you should see a pedestal right in front of you. Equip an Enchant Relice and step on it. Make sure that you are doing this during the night, as it won’t work during the day.
Select the fishing rod you would like to enchant. You can get ready with the fishing rod by adding it to the hot bar, and you should enchant it. Unfortunately, these enchantments are random, so it can be really easy to not get the one you want. Luckily, you can try again by using how many relics you want, as long as you do not get out of the Mines since that will cost you another token.
Where to find the King’s Rod
Along with enchanting your rods, the Altar is hiding another secret: a great fishing rod that you can use as long as you have the money to buy it. Find the skeleton selling the rod by ignoring the pedestal and taking a left out of the elevator, then falling off the ledge.
Buying the rod from this skeleton will set you back 120.000C$, which is quite expensive, but it should make back that money in little to no time. Here are the stats for the King’s Rod:
- Control: 0.15
- Lure Speed: -45%
- Luck: 55%
- Max kg: Infinite
- Resilience: 35%
Not only will it cash larger fishes (by 15%) than other rods, but with high resilience and control, this is perfect for getting your hands on some of the harder-to-catch fishes, such as the Shark and the Colossal Squid. You can enchant it with Hasty to balance some of its low lure speed.
