How to find Onix in Pokémon Pokopia

1 week ago 12

Onix is a Bulldoze Pokémon required in Pokémon Pokopia to progress in the main storyline in the Withered Wasteland.

Pokémon with this specialty are capable of removing debris, which is just the kind of ability you need to start rebuilding the first Pokémon Center in the game. While none of the initial creatures you meet can help you with that, deep inside the caves of the Withered Wasteland, you will find exactly who you need: Onix.

If you haven't been able to locate the giant rock snake, we will explain where you can find Onix in Pokémon Pokopia.

How to get Onix in Pokémon Pokopia

When looking for a Bulldoze Pokémon to clean the Pokémon Center area, you can find Onix inside a cave on the northwest side of the Withered Wasteland, near the gate that will eventually take you to Rocky Ridge.

To reach the exact location, start from the destroyed Pokémon Center and go west, following the path of red bricks. Break through the wall under the bridge with Rock Smash to access the shore on the other side.

Keep heading north, entering the rocky area, until you see a green gate. Before the gate, to the east side, there's an opening that takes you into a cave. Once you step inside, you will hear someone asking for help. Break down the brown rocky wall (the same kind of block you broke under the bridge), and you then you'll be able to see Onix through a small opening.

Although you have found Onix, you'll need to figure out a way to release it, since the rocks trapping Onix are too hard for Ditto, and even for Onix, to break. To release it, you need to go talk to Professor Tangrowth and begin the "Yawn up a Storm!" request to increase the area's humidity and make it rain.
