Winterfest 2024 brings a host of different activities for Fortnite players, and the Wintervestigation event is certainly among the coolest content that you can explore.
The season of festivities has begun, and you can log in to get a new gift daily. This even includes exclusive Santa-themed skins for Yulejacket and Snoop Dogg, among other rewards. But it’s not only about the rewards, as the Wintervestigation quest will require you to don your investigative hat. With the first set of quest missions now available inside the game, let’s take a look at how you can start and complete these missions.
How to start the Wintervestigation quest in Fortnite
To begin your adventure, go and talk to Sgt. Winter at the crash site located south of Foxy Floodgate. Your objective is to find out who Crackshot Cabin’s mysterious traveler is. Completing every quest will get you 25,000 XP, and help you to complete everything available on the latest battle pass.
So far, we have the quests tied with Case No. 17 and here are the instructions to access all of them.

| Follow the trail | You’ll find a few snowy mountains near the south-west part of the tunnel that leads to Seaport City. Check this location to find the clues. |
| Question the unknown traveler to find out what’s going on | Santa Dogg can be found at the Crackshot Cabin. |
| Return to Noir with your findings | Top floor of a tall building in Seaport City |
The first set of quests is pretty simple, and they’re more or less self-explanatory. The next chapter begins with the launch of Case No. 29. The new quests will be available on December 22, and you’ll be able to complete them to quicken your battle pass completion.
