Get your warm clothing and mitts ready, it is time to dive into the latest Fisch update, the Northern Expedition, and things are icy. You will be in for a bunch of new quests along with some interesting new additions to your basic equipment. In particular, the Ice Warpers rod will require you to complete a devilish little puzzle.
Let’s take a look at how to get your mitts on the Ice Warpers rod and solve the Ice puzzle, we will provide directions and all the information you might need.
Where to find the Ice Warpers rod
In order to get your hands on the Ice Warpers Rod you need to complete the Ice puzzle in the Northern Expedition. This is about finding and activating six different levers that you will find around the island, and then, finally, get your brand-new Rod.
To activate these levers, you will need two items before you begin: the lantern and the glider. The lantern is used to thaw the levers before activating them. It can be found by interacting with the Keeper NPC, which you will find behind the lighthouse in Moosewood, but only at night. The glider can, instead, be found in the main village area in Roslit Bay, from the albino merchant for 900C$. You will need to move swiftly between several rocky outcroppings where the levers will be.
You will also need a pickaxe, cloak, and oxygen tank. By this point, you should have most of these items. Once you have everything you need, it is time to locate the six levers. Keep in mind that the six levers need to be activated before closing the game or changing servers, as their position is not saved. Here are their locations:
Lever number | Location |
Lever one | It can be found in a cave near the third base camp on the Northern Expedition island. The walls of the caves can be broken with a pickaxe, then simply equip the lantern to thaw out the first lever and activate it. (coordinates 19870.629.537) |
Lever two | The second lever can be found near the fourth base camp, you will need to use the glider to move from the third camp to the fourth. Glide from the fourth camp to the right, then climb the mountain and use your oxygen tank sparingly (might be better to get an upgraded one). The lever is on a little rock, just before the Cryogenic Canal. (coordinates 19437.690.5856) |
Lever three | The third lever is also near the fourth base camp, from the Cryogenic Canal use your glider to go to the left where you’ll find another rock platform. There, hidden on the other side from where you arrive, you will find another lever. Be sure to refill your tanks before heading that way. (coordinates 20195.855.5646) |
Lever four | The fourth lever is relatively easy, as it can be simply found by using the glider from the third lever. From the rocky platform, glide towards a big snowy tree, as the lever is right next to it. (coordinates 19600.544.5613) |
Lever five | The fifth lever can be found in a rocky outcropping which can be easily reached from the fourth base camp, using your glider. Jump behind the big yellow tent, follow the outcropping, then glide towards the big one on the left. Climb it and you should find the lever right on top. (coordinates 19854.476.4970) |
Lever six | The sixth and final lever is beyond the camp and it should be activated last, as you won’t be able to access it otherwise. Glide back to the camp, and follow the path to the right of it, climbing the ladders that you will find. Continue down the path and glide down, continue following the path down and you should reach the Overgrowth Caves and then the Frigid Cavern. Follow the path while it becomes narrower and narrower as you go deeper inside a cave. You should find a clearing with a star, with the lever right next to it. (coordinates 19880.425.5380) |
The Ice Warpers rod will spawn in the exact location where the last lever was, right in the middle of the star outcropping. It will set you back 65.000C$ to buy it. It has 20% resilience, 75.000 max kg, 60% luck, and 50% lure speed.
