How to 100% Buff With Erwin, Wendy, and Leafy in Anime Adventures – With and Without Curses

1 week ago 9

If you properly use and stack buffs of some units in Anime Adventures, you can easily double the damage of your whole team. Maintaining these buffs can be tricky. So, you will need to set up a proper buff rotation. To help you out with this, we prepared the following guide on how to 100% buff with Erwin, Wendy, and Leafy in Anime Adventures.

How Does Buff Stacking With Commander, Wind Dragon, and Elfy Work?

Buffs that Erwin, Wendy, and Elfy provide work in the same way in Anime Adventures. They increase the Physical (Erwin) or Magic (Wendy and Leafy) damage of the surrounding units for 30 seconds, with a 60-second cooldown.

Now, if a unit has a buff applied to it, its ability will apply an even stronger buff, up to 100% increased damage. Buffs coming from the same unit also count. However, an already buffed unit can’t be buffed again until the current buff expires. So, proper timing is crucial for the loop to work.

How to Maintain 100% Erwin, Wendy, and Leafy Buff Without Curses

There are two methods for maintaining a 100% increased damage buff with Erwin (Commander), Wendy (Wind Dragon), and Leafy (Elfy) without having to curse those units. They both work on the basis of transferring the buff from one unit to another. At the end of the loop, you get a 100% increased damage effect on all nearby units.

Pentagram Loop 100% Buff Method

To set up the Pentagram loop, position five Erwins, Wendys, or Elfys in a pentagon shape. Units should be as close as possible so that you can position as many other units into its center. However, buff units must not get into the range of the two units opposite to them. Once the formation is set up, activate their abilities in the following order:

  1. Activate the first unit’s ability. From then on, use the cooldown bar as a reference for when to activate the abilities of other units.
  2. Use the second unit’s ability at 20% of the first cooldown (after 10-12 seconds).
  3. Use the third unit’s ability at 40-45% of the first cooldown (before the buff on the second unit expires so that you don’t reapply it too soon).
  4. Use the fourth unit’s ability at 60% of the first cooldown.
  5. Use the fifth unit’s ability at 80% of the first cooldown.

The Pentagram loop constantly rotates the 100% buff around the units in the center. It is the more consistent of the two methods, and no micro-management is required once it is set up. Buff units should have only two more units in their range, one on both sides closest to them. Otherwise, they will reapply the buff before it expires and break the loop.

Double Rotation 100% Buff Method

This method works similarly to the Pentagram method. However, it doesn’t circle the buff around. Instead, it just transfers the buff from one unit to another in a line before applying it to the main units. Once the first buff wears off, the second line reapplies it. To make it work, do the following:

  1. Place three buff units in a line, with the first and last units not in range of each other. Do the same from the other side right away or afterward.
  2. Activate them in succession to apply the maximum buff to the main units. Turn off the ability of the last unit.
  3. After ~20 seconds, activate the abilities of the first two units in the second line. Once the first buff expires, activate the ability of the last unit in the line and then turn it off.
  4. From then on, just keep turning on and off the abilities of the last two units whenever the previous buff expires.
    • If you have low SPA on the buff unit, you can try to activate the second row right after the first buff ends. If you get the timing right, the loop should continue without the need for more inputs.

This method is useful if you want to cover more ground or set up a buff in a pinch situation. It can be used with cursed units as well for a permanent 100% buff. Without decreased SPA, you will have to manually turn on the ability of the last unit in a line after the previous buff expires.

How to Maintain 100% Erwin, Wendy, and Leafy Buff With Cursed Units

The Pentagon method, even though it works with no investment, has its cons: limited range and longer setup time. An improved version of this loop relies on you cursing your units, giving them negative SPA, which prolongs their cooldowns. With worse SPA, their ability’s cooldown is high enough, and the loop works with only four units.

Four Unit 100% Buff Method With Cursed Units

The four-unit method uses cursed units to compensate for the delay that occurs when reactivating the abilities of buff units. Even though this delay is only a second or two long, it can make the loop impossible to maintain. To nail the 100% buff method with cursed units in AA, follow these steps:

  1. Use the ability of the first unit.
  2. Wait for 3-7 seconds, depending on the unit’s SPA, and then use the second unit’s ability.
  3. After the buff on the second unit expires (30 seconds after you activated it on Erwin 1), use the third unit’s ability.
  4. After the buff expires on the first unit (3-7 seconds later), use the fourth unit’s ability.

How to Curse Units in Anime Adventures

You can spend Cursed Tokens at the Sukuna NPC to curse units in Anime Adventures. Sukuna can be found in his domain, which you can access by using a Cursed Token from your inventory. You can get Cursed Tokens from the Cursed Womb Dungeon in the Play area or as a reward from the Battle Pass and other game modes.
