How Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are navigating co-parenting relationship after 'toxic' romance… as he moves on with Dakota Johnson

Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox have turned the page on their 'toxic' romance and found their stride as co-parents – as the rapper pursues a new relationship with Dakota Johnson.

The Bloody Valentine hitmaker, 36, and the Transformers actress, 40, have been 'done' romantically for over a year and their only focus now is their daughter, Saga, 17 months.

'MGK and Megan are done and only communicate about their daughter and co-parenting logistics,' a source told Us Weekly.

'They both know they have toxic tendencies and it’s much better this way.'

The source added the singer-songwriter 'will always love Megan and have a soft spot for her,' but said he 'gave up pursuing a romantic relationship with her several months ago.'

MGK, who was hanging out with Johnson at Taylor Swift's New York City apartment earlier this month, and Fox had a turbulent, on-and-off relationship that lasted for about four and a half years.

They first met in March 2020, and they had their final dramatic breakup in late November 2024, though they have maintained a calmer post-split relationship more recently.

Fox has been centered around Saga and the four sons, Noah, 13; Bodhi, 11; and Journey, nine, which she shares with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

MGK also has a daughter, Casie, 17, with his ex Emma Cannon.

In January of this year, a source told People: 'Their relationship at this point is just about co-parenting. Megan is focused on her kids and the baby and just getting settled into this new chapter. That's genuinely her priority.

'Megan's very happy with how he's stepped up for both her and the baby. While they still have separate homes, they spend a lot of time together as a family. They're putting the baby first, and it's brought them closer in many ways.'

Added the source, 'Things are great now. He's amazing with the baby and she very much enjoys spending time with him.'

Meanwhile, MGK has been 'quietly seeing' Johnson for a couple of months now.

MGK and the Fifty Shades of Grey star are said to have 'hit it off' at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at New York's Madison Square Garden on July 4, and they have been getting to know one another better ever since.

A friend told People that the two 'have been hanging out and seeing each other under the radar for months now. They had met before, but hit it off at (Swift's wedding).

'They started off as friends and were texting often, but now they're spending more time together.

'It's a very new start, but they're smitten with each other right now.'

According to the friend, MGK is 'very into' Johnson and has been telling friends he thinks the 36-year-old star is 'amazing.'

'They haven't put a label on their relationship yet, they are just seeing where spending time together will take them.'
