Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron come and go, but in Terminator, the endoskeleton is forever. Over the years, the heart and soul of the killer, time-travelling robot franchise has always been that terrifying, menacing metal visage. Often, it’s a sign of pure terror. Other times, it’s a beacon to heroism. But from the best films in the franchise to the worst, some version of the endoskeleton is always there.
And yet, if you had to pick an endoskeleton from one film, it would of course be Terminator 2: Judgment Day. That 1991 masterpiece was the film where Cameron finally had the time and money to fully realize his vision of a future taken over by technology, and we got to see the endoskeleton in full. Now, Hot Toys is bringing that image to life, with that trademark, stunning detail.
The company just announced it’s making a 1/6 scale, battle-damaged Endoskeleton from Terminator 2: Judgment Day. It’s got 25 points of articulation, two different skulls, multiple rifles, and several other interchangeable parts so you can fully customize how damaged you want your endoskeleton to be. Prefer it to be pristine? You can do that too. But no matter what you choose, the skull will have those unforgettable red eyes, each illuminated with an LED.
Here are just a few images.
As you’d expect with Hot Toys, a collectible of this scale and quality isn’t cheap. This costs $400 and is expected to ship in late 2026. So you’ll be waiting a while for it. But, if we are to believe the Terminator series, maybe your future self can skip back here to 2025 and let you know whether you regret preordering this figure or not. We have a feeling you won’t.
