Honkai Star Rail Anaxa Kit Leaks Show Silver Wolf May Finally Be Put To Rest

HoYoverse has not announced much about Anaxa so far. In fact, officially, the developer has only revealed that they are one of the Chrysos Heirs and some of the details about their design, like their clothing, eyepatch, and light blue hair. The character’s teaser also mentions that they are a scholar who inquires about the prophecy surrounding the Chrysos Heirs and their duty to Amphoreus while disrespecting the gods. More details about Anaxa should be kept under wraps until they have relevance within the story arc of Amphoreus in Honkai: Star Rail, but some leaks are already starting to emerge.

The Character Is Rumored To Apply A Debuff On Enemies

In fact, the early sketches of Anaxa’s possible gameplay kit in the turn-based RPG have been leaked. The leaker known as Shiroha has provided more details about a portion of Anaxa’s gameplay kit, showing how their Ultimate and Talent may work once they are released as a playable character. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. According to the leak, Anaxa’s Ultimate can delay the actions of all the enemies and has a chance of inflicting a status called Mygo on each of them for a set number of turns in Honkai: Star Rail.

This status is said to make targets sustain additional DMG equal to a portion of Anaxa’s ATK when attacked. The Ultimate is rumored to end by dealing DMG to all enemies based on Anaxa’s ATK. Their Talent has also been leaked: when Anaxa deals damage with their Ultimate, they apply a random Weakness to enemies. The leak says that each instance of damage applies a different Weakness that lasts some turns. A leak by Uncle Hellgirl, also posted on Reddit, says that Anaxa can randomly target group weaknesses, delay actions, reduce defense, and deal extra damage in Honkai: Star Rail.

The Character May Have A Weakness Application Mechanic

There are still a few missing aspects from Anaxa’s leaked kit, such as their Skill (which may be related to the rumored DEF shred) and passive abilities. However, what has been rumored so far already shows that Anaxa may be a viable substitute for Silver Wolf, especially in team comps where the Stellaron Hunter is necessary. This is because of Anaxa’s leaked Weakness application. This mechanic is a game-changer for certain types of teams and, so far, only Silver Wolf in Honkai: Star Rail has been able to provide the application of new Weaknesses on enemies.

With her Skill, Silver Wolf can target an enemy and debuff them while applying a new random Weakness on them based on the Elemental Type of another opponent on the field. This is an extremely helpful ability as it can significantly help her team comp inflict Weakness Break much faster on enemies who would normally be a bit resistant to the damage that the other party members deal. As useful and unique as it may be, it is still a bit limited.

This may force some characters to use their Basic Attacks which in turn could slow down the team’s rotation and damage output. If Anaxa’s leaked kit is true, they may have an advantage over Silver Wolf. The leak mentions that Anaxa’s Weakness application stems from their Ultimate, meaning such an ability would not consume Skill Points. Even if it’s reliant on Energy, this can be accelerated through a support character like Tribbie or Tingyun in Honkai: Star Rail. The last and most important part is that Anaxa’s leaked Ultimate applies new Weaknesses to all enemies on the field.

Although it may be a bit slower than Silver Wolf’s Skill-based Weakness application, Anaxa’s Weakness application is said to automatically target all the enemies at once, making up for any staggered build-up period that comes with the Energy Regeneration process. It remains to be seen how Anaxa’s leaked Weakness application will work once they are officially released, possibly in Version 3.2 (Mydei and Tribbie are already confirmed for Version 3.1), but their kit already sounds extremely promising, especially as an up-to-date substitute for Silver Wolf, who has long been dominating team comps with her unique ability in Honkai: Star Rail.

Anaxagoras Is Rumored To Be A 5-Star Ice Nihility Character

Based on what has been revealed of their kit so far, Anaxa (or Anaxagoras) will be a debuffer who sets the terrain for their team comp to exploit while also contributing with some damage output. This lines up with the previous rumors that Anaxa will be a 5-star character on the Path of the Nihility. The information by Seele Leaks, which was shared in a post on Reddit, also says that Anaxa will be an Ice character, making them the first Ice Nihility unit since the game’s release, which saw the introduction of Pela in Honkai: Star Rail.

It’s still necessary to know how Anaxa’s other abilities will work, as this will help determine their rotation and complete usefulness, however, the current leaks already point to an above-standard debuffer. Anaxa’s rumored Weakness application mechanic already makes them stand out among several other Nihility characters, and the possibility of extra damage output and even a rumored DEF shred could make them a valuable team member for all types of team comps.

As exciting as the rumors about Anaxa’s kit may seem, they should be treated as such and taken with some caution. Their release is set for after Version 3.1, so the information provided may be incorrect or subject to change while HoYoverse makes adjustments leading up to Anaxa’s eventual release. However, it’s impossible not to be hopeful about the prospect of a new character providing more Weakness applications and facilitating team comp structures to not rely exclusively on an old and somewhat outdated character like Silver Wolf in Honkai: Star Rail.
