Limited to four orders per customer, Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Standard physical editions are now available to pre-order on Fangamer. There is seemingly no Collector’s edition, but the Standard edition comes bundled with its own special goodies nonetheless:
-
Standard edition physical copy on Nintendo Switch 2 (also plays on Nintendo Switch) for $45, and on PS5 and Xbox Series X (and Xbox One) for $39.
-
Reversible cover artwork.
-
32-page game instruction manual.
-
Mini folded poster of Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Pharloom.
-
Ships on October 16, 2026.
Reddit was on the case from before pre-orders became available, when the physical editions were merely a leak, sharing their thoughts on how thrilled they are for a physical Hollow Knight: Silksong launch. For example, user Outrageous_Meet2025 writes, “Team Cherry has earned my money and so they can have it,” as user StillHoldingL states, “Will happily double-dip on these, more than got my money’s worth buying them the first time!”
Interestingly, Hollow Knight: Silksong’s upcoming Sea of Sorrow DLC is not mentioned as being packaged with the physical Standard edition, but this does not outright confirm that the DLC will not be released before the physical Standard edition’s launch this October. In fact, it would not matter either way, as Fangamer states:
Sea of Sorrow DLC is not included on game media but will be available to download for free.
It is as likely that the Sea of Sorrow DLC could be revealed with a proposed release date as it is that Team Cherry will simply shadow drop it. Either way, once the physical Standard edition is released this October, fans will not have to worry about being able to play it via their physical copy (it might be unfortunate for fans who choose to patiently wait for the physical edition before playing the DLC, though, if the DLC does launch before it).
October is sandwiched between Marvel’s Wolverine in September and Grand Theft Auto 6 in November, but Hollow Knight: Silksong’s success and fervor are sure to froth once more as fans’ anticipation stirs once more. Meanwhile, it is now fairly possible that we could see a Hollow Knight: Silksong Sea of Sorrow reveal at Summer Game Fest or the Xbox Games Showcase.
