Hogwarts Legacy proved to be an enormous success for Warner Bros and Avalanche Studios, as a sequel was quickly confirmed by the company in response to the immense number of sales that the Harry Potter IP clearly still guarantees, even when the character himself doesn't feature.
That said, there are rumors that the next game could be a live service title, which might not appeal to everyone, and at the very least, we are likely still years away from release. In the meantime, the base game does wear out its welcome after a while, but that's where the immense modding community comes into play, bringing new experiences that should transform your next playthrough.
Hogwarts Legacy Is Getting Regular New Content
Avalanche StudiosOver on Curse Forge, you can find a ton of downloads for Hogwarts Legacy that do everything from adding DLC-sized quest expansions to small quality-of-life features to the game. One in particular that's recently updated that you might want to be aware of is Spells and Talents, which greatly expands the magical abilities on offer in the game.
Those include six unique spells that the mod breaks down as follows:
- Tarantallegra (+2 Talents) - Forces enemies to dance uncontrollably, rendering them defenseless.
- Aguamenti (+2 Talents) - Summons a stream of water to damage and push back enemies.
- Obliviate (+2 Talents) - Erases memories and grants invisibility; can lead to instant Apparition.
- Apparition (+4 Talents) - Teleport around enemies or through obstacles.
- Protego Diabolica (+2 Talents) - Summons a cursed ring of blue fire that incinerates enemies
- Protego Maxima (+4 Talents) - Casts a protective dome with layered effects.
Fans will know that almost all of those spells appear in either Harry Potter or Fantastic Beasts, meaning you're also being pretty lore friendly along the way.
Outside of that, other mods lean heavily on altering the aesthetic of the game, with new outfits for NPCs and additional choices for player characters. You can also get downloads that simply make life easier, like Alohomora Auto Solve, Auto Loot and Increased Gear Capacity.
Hogwarts Legacy Modders Are Keeping The Game Alive
The fact is that there are so many mods out there for Hogwarts Legacy that we can easily have plenty of fun playing new experiences until the sequel eventually drops. This is particularly true if you're happy to play user created quests, as there are a ton of options on the table that add hours of story experiences, if you're willing to break with the official narrative.
