Hoda Kotb poked fun at her Today cohost, Jenna Bush Hager, on Tuesday morning when she teased her about the 'very odd' childhood obsession that she didn't grow out of until she was 22.

Hoda, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, made the light-hearted jab as she and Jenna, 42, reminisced about their childhood bedrooms while discussing the fact that the former is in the middle of moving house.

Revealing what her bedroom was like as a kid, Hoda recalled: 'I had Barry Manilow and Erik Estrada posters on my wall, so it's the weirdest combo but I loved both of them. I had a lot of sports trophies and little stuff like that, I had Fred Flintstone and Snoopy sheets and I loved it.'

She continued: 'I remember just diving in bed and thinking, "What's better than right here laying with the Peanuts characters?" And I had a million stuffed animals. I loved stuffies, I had them lined up.'

Jenna then revealed: 'My bedroom was, first of all I kinda remember the windows and looking out and there was a fence and my cat Cowboy was always up on the fence. I had a chair that I would sit by the air conditioner and write in my journal or write stories.

The TV hosts were reminiscing about their childhood bedrooms when Jenna admitted she loved Barbie until she was 22

When Hoda asked if she had any posters, Jenna replied: 'I don't remember the walls. I think my room was small and mainly windows, there was a bookshelf with all my books and then bookshelves around the closet. And I really loved Barbie... until I was 22!'

Laughing at her comment, Hoda said: 'Yeah that was your big thing, very odd,' as Jenna quickly fired back: 'Well you had stuffies!'

Speaking about the upcoming move from her Upper Manhattan apartment, Hoda explained: 'I'm trying to use the word "repotting" because it just feels better.

'It's like you pull up by the roots and you replant somewhere else, somewhere that you know that your roots are gonna grow big.

'So I was thinking about that because it's all new. New kids in school, new things, new everything, and it's funny because all I could think of was I want my house - for the kids - to feel like warm and cozy and a place where they want to hang, that's it.'

Jenna totally understood as she replied: 'And a place where they feel like seen and safe. Yes, it's about the way it looks, but it's mainly about the way it feels.'

Hoda then divulged: 'And the kids are going to have their own rooms. It's three bedrooms upstairs, mine and there's one for Haley and one for Hope.

'And I was just thinking about... coz they're so excited to have their own space, a reading chair. Like they're excited about a reading chair, they're excited about having a beanbag and that kind of stuff.'

Mother-of-two Hoda Kotb has confirmed she is in the process of moving into a new three-bedroom property

The TV star said she just wants her two daughters, Haley and Hope, to feel 'warm and cozy' in their new home

Speaking about her own children, Mila, 11, Poppy, nine, and four-year-old Hal, Jenna said: 'I have to say, my kids shared rooms and it was awesome, and then all of a sudden they were butting heads.

'They got their own space and now they sometimes choose to sleep together and I like that. It gives them a chance to like... Haley can stay up a little later, she can stay up reading, soon she'll have homework....'

'It's so crazy, but I do love the whole kind of restarting, repotting, starting something new, like it feels really good,' Hoda admitted, before adding: 'I'm excited!'

Their comments come just days after they both revealed the bizarre childhood nicknames they share with their siblings.

The duo were discussing the concept of 'friend dictionaries' and the idea of sharing 'inside lingo' with those closest to you, when Jenna said to Hoda: 'You have a lot of these,' to which she replied: 'We do these at our house.'

Hoda revealed that she and her siblings call each other 'Irwin.' She is pictured here with her sister Hala and their late father, Abdel

Jenna revealed that she and her twin sister have called each other 'Herme' since they were kids

Referring to her brother, Adel, and her sister, Hala, she revealed: 'When we were kids, we called - my brother and sister and I - all called each other Irwin,' as a confused Jenna asked: 'Do you remember how that [started]?'

The mother-of-two elaborated: 'Yeah, it was a cartoon of a real kind of geeky, weird kid, and that was Irwin. So now literally to this day, "Hey Irwin, hey Irwin,"' as Jenna confirmed she'd heard Hoda calling her siblings 'Irwin' when speaking to them on the phone.

'Who originated it? Do you remember?' Jenna then asked, as Hoda responded: 'I don't remember, but on Christmas packages you always know by the handwriting, "To Irwin, from Irwin," they all say the same but we know whose is whose because we know our handwriting.'

Jenna then revealed the unusual pet name she still shares with her twin sister, Barbara Bush, who recently welcomed her second child.

'Well, we're Herme - both of us,' Jenna divulged as Hoda started giggling.

Referring to the Spanish word for 'sister,' Jenna confirmed: 'It started as hermana, hermanita, then we went to herme,' as her cohost continued laughing.
