Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

Helen Mirren is seemingly out for blood in A Talent for Murder.

Mirren and her co-star Alden Ehrenreich turn a fictional murder storyline into something increasingly sinister in the new trailer for Anton Corbijn’s psychological thriller A Talent for Murder. What began as the duo throwing out ideas for a new novel slowly turns dangerous as one of the pair appears to have more sinister intentions in mind.

Mirren portrays an iconic author, Patricia Highsmith, who is known for her crime novels, especially her Ripley series. Ehrenreich plays Edward Ridgeway, a young literary agent who travels from New York to Switzerland to try to convince her to write a final book for her series. However, that assignment proves to be more difficult and dangerous than expected.

Set in 1995, the film follows Highsmith, who is living in solitude after Ridgeway arrives at her home, hoping to persuade her to write one final installment featuring her most famous character, Tom Ripley. What starts out as a professional visit soon develops into a stressful and tension-filled battle between the two.

The trailer leans heavily into the psychological torture that Highsmith is inflicting as she cooks Ridgeway breakfast with a bottle of poison on the counter or when he wakes up with a cut on his neck. The trailer also shows the two of them working through ideas for a murder mystery, discussing how the story might unfold and constructing new characters.

A Talent for Murder is directed by Corbijn (The American). The screenplay is written by Joanna Murray-Smith, who adapted the film from her own 2014 stage play Switzerland. The movie was previously developed under the play's title before being renamed A Talent for Murder. The project also stars Olivia Cooke and Juliet Stevenson.

The film is produced by Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, Gabrielle Tana, Troy Lum, Andrew Mason, Jim Robison, Kurt Martin, Carolyn Marks Blackwood, Karl Spoerri, and Andrea Occhipinti. Michael Glassman serves as an executive producer on the project. A Talent for Murder is distributed by Bleecker Street and LD Entertainment.

A Talent for Murder will be released in theaters on October 23, 2026.
