Helen Flanagan teases potential Coronation Street return as she admits she 'misses the excitement' of working on the soap

Helen Flanagan hinted at a potential return to the Cobbles as she admitted she 'misses the excitement' of working on the soap.

The actress, 34, who is best known for playing Rosie Webster in the ITV programme, quit the show in 2018 when she welcomed her third child with her ex-partner Scott Sinclair.

And now, speaking of her time on screen, she told The Sun: 'It really was such an incredible experience and it really shaped me as well.'

'I think I'll always kind of miss it, and I think it's almost having that excitement in your life, I've had that from such a young age I don't actually know any different.

'So all I've known since from being like a young age is either kind of being an actress or being in the public.'

The actress was on the soap for more then two decades after being cast in her role as Rosie Webster at just ten years old. 

Helen first appeared on screens as Rosie in 2000, staying for twelve years before leaving and then making a comeback in 2017.

She then went on maternity leave in 2018 but never reprised her role, although she has spoken out on multiple occasions about wanting to.

In 2023, speaking to MailOnline, Helen said: 'Yeah, totally. I mean, I'd love to go back to Coronation Street at one point. 

'Like, I really, really, really would. But it's just timing, you know, everything's about my kids.' 

She added: 'I really want Rosie to come back a mum. I want to go back and like cause some chaos.'

'I wanted to like kind of palm Sally off with with her grandchild the whole time and yeah, I want her to come back.'

The admission comes just after Helen, who is now dating new boyfriend Robbie Talbot, 45, enjoyed a rare night out with the father of her children, Scott.

Helen and Scott, 35, split in 2022 after thirteen years together, four of which they were engaged. As well as Matilda, nine, they share Delilah, six, and Charlie, three.

The former couple looked in very high spirits as they spent quality time with their eldest.

Sharing sweet snaps on Instagram, she wrote: 'Gorgeous night last night @hygeparkwinterwonderland Thank you so much @regattaoutdoors for having us ❤️

'I will live in this coat for the school run✨ So cold now and this coat is so warm. Matilda loved last night so much with her mummy and daddy ❤️✨ Our princess forever✨'

It comes after Helen shared a slew of beaming snaps after celebrating her 34th birthday with boyfriend Ronnie and her children.

Helen couldn't wipe the smile off her face as she was treated to a swanky dinner at The Ivy Restaurant in Liverpool.

She looked stunning in a blush pink silk blouse and black trousers and put on a very romantic display, sitting on the ex footballer Ronnie's lap.

The Celebs Go Dating star's children appeared equally at ease in the company of their mum's new partner as eldest daughter Delilah larked around with him in one snap.

At her birthday party Helen put on on a very leggy display in a dramatic ruffled gown with saucy split as she posed with Robbie on the dance floor.

The couple beamed as they raised their glasses of champagne in front of a saucy sign that read: 'Helen is thirty f*****g four'.

The actress captioned the post: 'Some pics I never posted from my birthday. Some of the pics'.

Last weekend Helen enjoyed dinner with Robbie and his ''beautiful' daughter Sophie, 14, as they posed together in snaps shared to Instagram

Robbie shares children Sophie and Carina, 10, from a previous relationship. 

He has been living in the former Coronation Street star's home since last month, eight months since the pair began dating.
