Helen Flanagan has revealed that she and her onscreen sister Brooke Vincent dated the same Manchester City player - before her doomed relationship with Scott Sinclair.

The Coronation Street, 35, played Rosie Webster in the soap while Brooke, 33, took on the role of her sibling Sophie.

Before meeting her now footballer ex Scott, Helen had a brief romance with Man City star Reece Wabara while shortly after they fizzled out Brooke went on to date him.

In her new book Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, she says: 'I dated a few guys off and on although they never developed into anything significant.

'I went out a few times with a Manchester City youth player called Reece Wabara who – and this is too funny – Brooke later ended up going out with.

'We were never serious and I didn't sleep with him but there was one night he took me back to his lodgings after we'd been out in Manchester and his furious landlady kicked me out. 'Er, you're not going upstairs young lady,' she said. Dead!'

She went on to say he was 'gorgeous' but that thinks quickly fizzled out before claiming he was 'a ladies' man anyway.'

Helen went on to be in a relationship with Scott. They have three children Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and Charlie, four.

But they split in 2022 after 13 years together.

Earlier this week sources claimed that Scott had decided Helen had to move out of the £1.5M six-bedroom home they previously shared after communication between them 'completely broken down'.

And last week, Helen begged followers to stop sending her messages about Scott following their feud taking a dramatic turn.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a video insisting she 'didn't care' about her former fiancé and wanted fans to stop contacting her about him.

The star said: 'I've been getting messages as well, quite a lot of DMs about the whereabouts of the father of my kids'.

'Please, I really don't care. No one needs to DM me and tell me his personal business. I'm spared of that now'.

The house, which is in Scott's name, was put on the market last year, and it's now thought that he believes Helen needs to move into a smaller property as he wants to stop paying the maintenance.

A source added that communication between the exes has 'completely broken down,' and they now only speak through Helen's parents.

They told The Sun: 'But Helen doesn't want to move and is digging her heels in. She loves the place, the kids are settled at the local school and her mum and dad live around the corner.

'Scott wants to buy Helen a four-bedroom home. He's even offered to put it in her name but wants to stop the maintenance payments.'

Scott had previously put the house up for sale for £1.5million last May, but reduced the house £1.195million four weeks later. In September it was reduced to £995,000.

Another source has claimed that Scott is yet to find Helen an alternative home, saying: 'Scott wants to sell to take the money out, but he hasn't found Helen or the kids a new place.

'He's not being reasonable. He and Helen are not on the same page.'

The Daily Mail contacted representatives for Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair for comment at the time.

Last month, Helen launched a furious attack on her ex-partner Scott after he failed to attend their son's school nativity.

The soap star split from the Bristol Rovers footballer in 2022 following 13 years together.

Helen publicly criticised Scott after he shared posts from Abu Dhabi, where he spent the weekend attending the Grand Prix.

Re-sharing his Instagram post, Helen raged: 'You really are a piece of s***. How dare you not turn up to Charlie's nativity.'
