Helen Flanagan opens up on the 'confusion she felt over her sexuality' as she reveals how scene was cut from Celebs Go Dating over her fears

Helen Flanagan has opened up about the 'confusion she felt over her sexuality' while starring on Celebs Go Dating. 

The actress, 35, revealed how she discussed her thoughts during her appearance on the show but later asked TV bosses to cut the scenes. 

There have been plenty of bombshell revelations Helen's brand new autobiography, Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns And Being Rosie. 

In one chapter she writes about the panic she felt while filming the reality show in 2024, as she worried that her 'mum would be let down' about her discussion on her sexuality. 

Helen explained: 'The thought of this footage going out on national telly got me really depressed, like I’d massively let her down as a daughter.

'Thankfully, the producers at the show were understanding and they agreed to edit those scenes alongside me, something they did with great care, removing the parts completely where I opened up about my sexuality.'

During her stint on Celeb's Go Dating Helen cause a stir when she confessed to having a boyfriend 'back at home.'

She faced being axed from the series for lying about her secret relationship with Robbie Talbot and ‘wasting everyone’s time’.

Helen told her shocked celebrity castmates and the show's experts: 'I think I am in love with him.'

After her confession, love guru Paul Brunson said in a confessional: 'Helen has not only wasted our time, but all of the dates' time.

'We need to hear the full truth of why she has kept this from us. And if we are not happy with her response, it is time for her to leave the agency.'

Back at the office, Helen said: 'I know I can't date but I would like to maybe stay in the agency and still have a bit of maybe therapy. For myself.'

She went on to date former non-league footballer Robbie, 45, following her split from her ex fiance Scott Sinclair, 36, in 2022, with whom she shares three children, Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and son Charlie, four.

Helen and Robbie split in May 2025, one year after they went official with their relationship.  

It comes after Helen recently lifted the lid on her 'throuple' with the former heavyweight boxer David Haye and Sian Osborne, 45, in her book.

The pair first met when they both appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012, but did not reconnect for a decade.

They crossed paths again when Helen bumped into David at an awards ceremony in autumn 2022, before he later reached out after seeing a lingerie shoot she had done for Ann Summers. 

Helen's revelations about her throuple with David come after she recently hit out at footballer Scott for failing to attend their son's nativity, despite the fact that she spent Christmas apart from her three children. 

Recent reports also revealed Helen reportedly told David to dump his girlfriend, Sian Osborne, for her during their toxic relationship.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: 'Helen wanted David to leave Sian for her. She was mad about David and desperately wanted him to herself.

'But David cares deeply for Sian, and he was simply never going to leave her for Helen. That was out of the question.'
