Heidi Klum was in good company on Wednesday evening as she made her latest red carpet appearance at the New York City premiere of Project Hail Mary.

On hand to celebrate a science fiction film set in the further reaches of deep space, Klum looked out of this world while posing for photos outside Manhattan's Lincoln Centre.

But she was almost overshadowed by stylish son Henry Samuel, the German supermodel's son with ex-husband Seal.

The towering 20-year old, who has followed in his mother's footsteps by embarking on a modelling career,  caught the eye in a beige two-piece suit and plunging leopard print blouse while accompanying his mother on Wednesday.

Posing alongside her son, Klum, 52, looked typically elegant in a loose fitting white co-ord and silver stiletto heels as they made their way inside the New York venue.

The pair were joined by principal cast members Ryan Gosling, Milana Vayntrub, James Ortiz and Sandra Hüller on the red carpet ahead of the new film's latest screening.

Other guests on the night included Elias Becker - the son of German tennis legend Boris - and reality TV personality Jonathan Cheban.

Based on author Andy Weir's 2021 book of the same title, Project Hail Mary follows astronaut Ryland Grace, played by Gosling, a science teacher waking up to learn he was recruited for a space mission to save Earth from an existential solar threat.

Appearing at San Diego Comic-Con in 2025, Gosling described his character as "a scared guy who has to do something impossible."

'It took me places I've never been,' he said. 'It showed me things I had never seen. It was as heartbreaking as it was funny and I was... not just blown away, but also overwhelmed.'

Weir - whose previous novel The Martian was also turned into a Hollywood blockbuster -  said it was "so cool" to see his book come to life and complimented Gosling for giving "many layers to this character I made up."
