Ian McShane is down for John Wick 5. Doctor Who‘s Varada Sethu sits down with Carol Ann Ford to discuss being a companion. Plus, Nicole Kidman teases the fun of Practical Magic 2. To me, my spoilers!
Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Nerdist reports that an Instagram post from a supposed attendee of a Disney Consumer Products presentation in Las Vegas alleged that Disney confirmed that the next Spider-Man movie will feature Tombstone, Boomerang, and Scorpion as antagonists. The post has since been scrubbed from the internet.
John Wick 5
During a recent interview with Collider, Ian McShane said he’d return for John Wick 5 “if [he’s] still around” by the time it begins filming.
If I’m still around, but they decide to do it, that would be a very nice thing. Yeah, I’ve loved it so far. It’s been a great, great 11 years. And, and as I said, it’s sort of like a family because we same director, same photographer, much the same actors with editions down again. But yeah, it’s been a good trip so far.
The Miseries
Bloody-Disgusting reports Kaelen Ohm (From) is attached to star in The Miseries, “a psychological time-loop horror film” currently filming in Nova Scotia, Canada. Directed by Ashlea Wesse from a script by Sarah Gignac, the story follows Bree (Ohm), a woman “stricken with shame resulting from the circumstances of her husband’s murder, [who] enters a cursed apartment that entraps and torments her. Terrified and all alone, Bree is driven to take her own life, but even dying isn’t an escape. Now in another layer of the incessant haunting, Bree discovers other women who have met a similar end, all stuck in their individual loops and made to face their shame for what appears to be an eternity. Together they must unravel the terrifying mysteries keeping them hostage, so that they may finally ‘move on’ and prevent another tenant falling victim to the apartment.”
The Rift
Variety also reports Kaylee Kaneshiro, Anna Akana, and Braxton Fannin fill star in The Rift, a sci-hi horror film directed by former Pixar layout artist, Colin Levy. The story follows “five surviving members of a cult who reunite for a weekend retreat in the remote desert, hoping to find closure. But when prophecies of their former leader start to come true, they question whether he was right all along.”
James Gunn’s DCU
In response to a fan on Threads, James Gunn confirmed the official DCU timeline will be synchronous with the release order of its movies and TV series, for now.
As of now it’s basically as the movies and shows come out – although of course some of these feature flashbacks – Creature Commandos, Superman, Peacemaker, Lanterns, Supergirl.
Practical Magic 2
Nicole Kidman promised Parade the Practical Magic sequel will be “fun and witchy,” and “very different from her more serious projects as of late, like Babygirl.”
